Southwest Airlines has a career opportunity available for a SAP Support Analyst, Benefits. This Analyst will assist with process maintenance activities for the Center of Excellence which includes, but is not limited to, monitoring business process performance, identifying and executing business process optimization, and evaluating SAP capabilities. Job Functions: Assist with the planning, developing, testing and implementing enhancements to new and existing SAP FICO and HCM modules for the Center of Excellence. Ensure operational maintenance and development activities for assigned process area. Perform defect remediation for assigned area and identify cross-process impacts. Ensure optimization of operational performance; review findings and identify opportunities to improve business process performance (cost, quality, Customer satisfaction, etc.). Implement respective processes and system changes including system configuration and testing for assigned area. Perform and facilitate user acceptance of system and processes through testing, monitoring, and reporting on adherence to prescribed business process procedures. Support the development of process changes through identification of functional design specifications and business requirements. Work on projects or assignments with Customers to identify solutions in collaboration with Business process owners. Lead resolution to critical operational issues. Establish standards and best practices for assigned area. Support evaluation of upgrades and future product enhancements. Meet with key decision makers, business process owners, and end-users to define business requirements. Design, configure, test, and implement new business applications. Support reporting and business intelligence requirements to ensure a robust reporting environment. Support documentation, training, and organizational change management requirements. Help identify solutions for improving business processes and lowering cost of ownership based on SAP best practices. Act as a trusted advisor to business community to address issues, answer general practices questions, and increase organizational SAP maturity. Conduct value engineering and value realization workshops to increase process efficiency. Enhance use of SAP processes to maximize business value. Create cross-application process flows that define how the components of all applications relate to each other. Create business process designs that best leverage standard application functionality. Identify and resolves process, application, and data issues that affect overall solution integrity. Position Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business or a related field such as Accounting or Finance required. Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience with ERP preferred. 3 or more years of professional ERP IT application development and support experience preferred. Experience with system configuration preferred. Basic knowledge in the Payroll and/or Benefits areas. Ability to define system requirements, project scope, and perform cost benefit analysis. Ability to analyze transactional activity, determine root cause of transactional errors, and implement system or process solutions. Ability to interface effectively and collaborate with peers, vendors, and Leaders to develop solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-in. Ability to understand and appropriately respond to Customers’ business needs and facilitate the presentation of recommendations. Ability to accurately analyze information and make sound decisions under pressure. Ability to take initiative and accountability for achieving results. Ability to resolve conflict and identify solutions to problems. Ability to integrate work across relevant areas, manage risks and safety appropriately, develop and execute business plans, and manage information.
