Pira International - United States Title: Project Engineer Department: Pira Testing, LLC Reports To: Site Lead Summary Work closely with other laboratory staff, customers and vendors to execute technical service projects. Interrupt procedures and guide customer to the appropriate program of work. Professionally communicate with the customers to ensure that all projects-based work is completed properly and meets or exceeds expectations. Manage multiple projects running concurrently. Interpret project results and deliver value creating reports in the appropriate timeframe. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Technical: Execute technical service projects, including testing, monitoring, consulting and education Create quality value creating technical reports in a timely fashion Interact with current or potential customers to establish needs, develop appropriate protocols, conduct analyses and interpret results Recommend measures to improve procedures and the use of equipment Team: Maintain project records, center’s database and service schedule Maintain a high level of cooperation and communication with all employees, peers, colleagues Analyze and resolve, or assist in solving work related problems Work within the requirements of a defined quality system Perform facility maintenance, repair, restoration, and organization, as required Order facility supplies, as required Set up and ship out small parcels and freight, as required Commercial: Interact with current or potential customers to recommend solutions and build relationships Engage in the inquiry review process ensuring it is executed properly Communicate new ideas and suggestions for improved efficiency and service offerings Understand the project estimate and manage time to ensure project profitability Contribute to the overall growth, stability and profitability of the organization Drive brand recognition through industry involvement Supervisory: None Form 5-2-3 – Job Description Page: 1 of 3 Revision Level: 1 Issue Date: 04/04/11 Pira International - United States Title: Project Engineer Department: Pira Testing, LLC Reports To: Site Lead Reasoning Ability Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job Realize when instructions and guidelines are not appropriate or available, take initiative and respond appropriately.
