					      LCPS Winter 2010-11 Sports State Champions
       Recognized March 15, 2011 by the LCPS Board of Education




Oñate High School Knights 2010-11 State Champion Basketball team players and coaches were recognized by the LCPS
Board of Education at its March 15, 2011 meeting. Coaches from left to right are Gus Gandara, Michael Nañez, Carlos
Felix, Tim Jacobs Sr. and Saul Perez. In the back row (wearing glasses) is OHS Assistant Principal and Athletic Director
David Day.

    2010-11 5A Boys Basketball State Champions
                    Head Coach Saul Perez and staff
                 2010-11 season record: 27 wins, 4 losses
       Defeated Manzano High School 54-48 to win the championship
      The OHS Knights’ first high school basketball championship ever
Mayfield High School Lady Trojans 2010-11 State Champion Basketball team players and coaches were recognized by the
LCPS Board of Education at its March 15, 2011 meeting. Coaches in the back row are, left to right, Marissa Alarcon,
Jaime Campos, Yvette Vargas, Esequiel Leyva, Margarita Trevizo Salazar and Manuel Trevizo. Head Coach George
Maya is not shown.

                   2010-11 season record: 28 wins, 4 losses
          Defeated Cibola High School 51-42 to win the championship

  Junior Samantha Harding is a three-time state champion in the
   500- yard freestyle. Sam also defended her state title in the 200-
   yard freestyle and swam the backstroke leg on the winning 200-
   medley relay.
  Senior Vivian Links swam the breaststroke portion on the winning
   200-medley relay.
  Junior Moranda Madero swam the butterfly portion on the winning
   200-medley relay.
  Junior Lauren Salas swam the freestyle portion on the winning
   200-medley relay.
