Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal named James MacGregor as its new
publisher, succeeding Vintage Foster, who left to launch a political consulting
and media services business. MacGregor comes to the Business Journal from
the San Francisco Business Times where he served as Director of Advertising
Sales. MacGregor's first official day on the job was September 1st, but he has
already started making the rounds and was seen by many at the 25th Annual
COMPAC BBQ.
On August 28, Lloyd Schmidt, an attorney with Hopkins & Carley, was appointed
legal counsel to the Board of Trustees of the San Jose Repertory Theatre. As
