Declarations of Interests

Aim and purpose

For the Commission formally to note, as a matter of public record, the
declarations of interests of the Commissioners, Executive Team and National
Clinical Advisors.

Recommendation

The Commission is asked to:

  (a) NOTE the declarations of interests of the Commissioners that have been
      made in accordance with the Commission’s standing orders;
  (b) NOTE the declarations of interests of the Executive Team and National
Clinical Advisors that have been made in accordance with the
      Commission’s standing orders; and
  (c) Advise the Secretary to the Commission of any amendments to their
      entry in the register.

Background

The standing orders for the Commission require the Commission formally to
record declarations of interests of the Chairman and Members of the
Commission. It also requires the details to be kept up to date by means of an
annual review of the register in which changes made during the preceding 12
months are incorporated and reported to the Commission.

The standing orders also state that the Commission will ensure that registers are
established formally to record declarations of interests of the Executive Team.
