THE CHARTERED INSURANCE INSTITUTE Biographical Notes _______________________________________________________________ Siân Fisher BA (Hons), ACII Chartered Insurer Vice President Sian Fisher is a law graduate from University College, Oxford. She joined Lloyd’s Broker Marsh as a graduate trainee in 1984. Robert Hiscox, convinced her to leave broking and join one of his underwriting Syndicates in 1987. From 1991 until the end of 1997 she was in charge of the Professional Indemnity, Directors and Officers and Liability account for the Hiscox Group. In 1998 she moved to set up a new Commercial Lines department for Hiscox Insurance Company. In November 1999 she became Chief Underwriting Officer for Hiscox Insurance Company. On 1 January 2001 she took over from Bronek Masojada as Managing Director. In September 2003 she was elected as a Vice President of the Chartered Insurance Institute. In March 2004 she attended the Advanced Management Programme, at Harvard Business School. In October 2004 Sian was a founder director of Oxygen plc, where she is currently CEO of Oxygen Insurance Managers Ltd, the underwriting agency part of the group.
