					                     FRENCH FRAGRANCES AND BEAUTY CARE AT BEAUTYWORLD IN DUBAI

For the seventh year running, France is making a powerful comeback at Beautyworld Middle East in Dubai from

May 24 to 26 , 2011. UBIFRANCE, together with the Federation of Beauty Care Companies (FEBEA), will be
assembling sixty exhibitors in its national pavilion. They will be presenting a highly versatile range of cosmetics
and perfumes. Expect ever more quality, refinement, know-how, authenticity and innovations when it comes to
this made-in-France offer, from the country that is the leading supplier to the Middle East and the leading
exporter worldwide.

Cosmetic Valley, the trade’s competitiveness cluster based in Chartres, will once again support the businesses in the
sector. With its 550 companies generating an €11b turnover, it is instrumental in pooling R&D and thus standing at the
cutting edge of innovation. Representing the Centre Region, Centreco will also be there.

This year, cosmetics continue developing ever more sophisticated technology, resulting from intensive R&D, often in
partnership with the pharmaceutical industry. Healing and anti-aging care are technical, and their results are easy to see
and highly convincing. Creams are gentle, easy to apply and enhanced with subtle scents.

One can also observe a trend towards nature and organic products: flowers, plants, vegetal oils, seaweeds, used by
those in search of environmentally-friendly wellness.
Fragrances and scents are in fact particularly in the spotlight this year through a substantial presence from
manufacturers and distributors of delicate, original perfumes of the kind that have made France’s worldwide reputation.

The way those perfumes are bottled gives them significant added value, yet their manufacture is all too often ignored.
The GLASS VALLEE cluster located in Normandy will be represented by twelve companies. On its own account, it
produces no less than one billion bottles – 75% of the overall worldwide production. The glassmakers, mould makers and
finishers who make up the sector represent unique know-how, and they work in synergy to supply the entire chain.
In the UBIFRANCE pavilion, the FRENCH BUZZ will help new participants feel the pulse of the market and get in touch
with distributors.
