									                2011 Morpeth Tea Cosy Challenge
    This exciting event will be run in conjunction with the Morpeth Weird &
      Wonderful Novelty Teapot Exhibition from 18th – 28th August 2011.

Anyone may enter, as many times as you like – you may belong to a club,
be a sewer, knitter or novice! Remember, the crazier and quirky your tea cosy is, the better!
Tea Cosies must be made by the contestant.

The Prizes:
$500 cash prize money for “Tea Cosy of the Year”.
$100 Gift Voucher for Category Winners, from Campbell’s Store Craft Centre, which can be
used for personal shopping or mail orders.
The “2011 Tea Cosy of the Year” will not be eligible for a Category first prize.

The Categories: Tick the appropriate one.
         1) Everyday knitted or crochet tea cosy.

         2) Novelty knitted or crochet tea cosy.

         3) Soft fabric, quilting or felt tea cosy.

         4) Tea cosy made in any other material.

         5) Animals, Birds or Insects tea cosy.

  Let your imagination run riot and see if you can create a “Tea Themed Cosy”, such
         as Catea, Naughtea, Captivitea, Tea-riffic, TNT, Guiltea, Mightea…..

How to Enter:
        Send or drop in your Tea Cosies to Morpeth Gallery any time from now until 10th
         August 2011. They will be safely stored at Morpeth Gallery. During August your
         entry will be judged and may be used for publicity for the 2011 Teapot & Tea Cosy
         Exhibition. Winners will be announced on opening day of the Teapot Exhibition.

        All Tea Cosies entered will be on display for the duration of the exhibition, and may
         be collected from Thursday 1st September 2011. If you are unable to collect, we
         will post your tea cosy creations back to you.

        You may wish to have your entered tea cosies for sale at the exhibition. If so,
         Morpeth Gallery will take a 25% commission of the full sale price, so please take
         this into consideration when pricing your tea cosies. Cheques, for sold tea cosies,
         will be posted out early September 2011.

        You may enter as many tea cosies as you wish… the crazier & quirky the better.
         Judges decision is final.
