					Undergraduate essay prize 2008
The Royal College of Pathologists is launching its first annual undergraduate essay prize for medical students. This year’s title is: ‘A knowledge of pathology is not essential for modern medical practice. Discuss.’ The prize of £1,000 will be presented at the launch of National Pathology Week on 3 November. The winning essay will published on the Colleges website and in the College’s membership journal The Bulletin. Submission deadline: 1 July 2008

Applications must be submitted with a certificate of originality

The College is establishing an annual undergraduate essay prize in an attempt to improve the poor understanding of human pathology and to stimulate an interest in following a career in pathology. The Prize is open to all medical students. This year’s topic is: A knowledge of pathology is not essential for modern medical practice.
