Economy, Place and Skills Special Projects Team Building Schools for the Future (BSF) & Academies Programme Here in Oldham, we are about to embark on a radical, £240 million investment programme designed to deliver educational transformation and improve the achievements of young people within the borough. The programme includes the building of six brand new schools / academies, as well as the refurbishment of five more, and we are looking for ambitious and energetic individuals who can contribute to the success of this exciting project. We have the following posts available: Programme Manager Ref: EPS09/0374 Salary: £38,575 - £41,204 p.a. You will be responsible for driving forward the development and delivery of the programme and co-ordinating the work of a multi-disciplinary, cross-organisational team. With a recognised qualification or significant experience in programme/project management, you will have the skills to develop strong business cases, meet deadlines and report on progress. Client Project Manager Ref: EPS09/0375 Salary: £35,953 - £38,575 p.a. You’ll facilitate and manage schools’ inputs to the procurement process and liaise with /represent the Council’s priorities for the BSF partnership. You’ll engage with and develop effective channels of communication between stakeholders, including schools, governing bodies, Academy sponsors and bidders. Accountant Ref: EPS09/0376 Salary: £35,079 - £37,665 p.a. With a recognised Accounting qualification and previous PFI experience an advantage, you will lead on all financial aspects of the programme and provide advice on affordability and value for money as well as advising on costs and funding options. You will maximise, monitor and report on the team budget. Business Manager Ref: EPS09/0377 Salary: £36,838 - £39,460 You will provide a full business support service to the programme’s management team and develop and manage the team’s administrative, financial and project management support systems. You will also service the procurement processes and evaluation systems (utilising E Box) and the programme’s governance structures.
