VITAL INSIGHT NAMES TOM SCANLAND VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING AND
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

High Tech startup sales executive brings industry experience to Sarbanes Oxley solution provider.

Austin, Texas – April 2, 2007 – Vital Insight - a leading provider of advanced Enterprise Risk
Management and Corporate Governance solutions, today announced the appointment of Tom
Scanland as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development.

Tom brings to Vital Insight a proven track record of building and leading global sales organizations
for high tech start-ups. Before joining Vital Insight, Tom served as vice president of worldwide
sales and support for Stone Bond Technologies where he was responsible for domestic and
international sales, marketing and channel development. Under Tom’s direction and guidance,
Stone Bond obtained year over year revenue growth of 350%.

Mr. Scanland comes to Vital Insight with over 20 years of enterprise software experience with both
early stage companies and Fortune 500 organizations. His previous experience includes vice
president of sales for Autonomy, director of sales for the Americas at Documentum and 10 years
in sales and sales management while with Intergraph Corporation.

Mr. Scanland will report directly to the CEO and is responsible for Marketing and Business
Development efforts.
