    BPP – Our Heritage
Founded in 1976 by Alan Brierley, Richard Price and Charles Prior, BPP has
established an international reputation as one of the leading providers of
    professional education in Europe.

In 2007, in recognition of this status and our dedication to educational excellence,
BPP made history by becoming the first ever private company to be granted
degree-awarding powers by the Privy Council. This authentication of our reputation
as a leading professional education provider enables us to award undergraduate
and postgraduate degrees in our own name. BPP degrees are recognised by the
Department of Innovation, Universities and Skills.

BPP’s Business and Law schools offer each student a rich educational experience
that is focused on their future career in the modern world. With three decades of
experience behind us, our reputation continues to go from strength to strength.
Validated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and Bar Standards’ Board, we are
the exclusive provider of student training for 19 top law firms. Our Business School
has formed relationships with many large employers, including the BBC, Tesco and
Santander, and has provided tailored programmes for organisations such as Simmons
    & Simmons.

BPP was recently granted University College Status. This is in recognition of our role
as a specialist provider of higher education.

We are a UK Border Agency licensed Tier 4 sponsor and have accreditation from
the British Council and Quality Assurance Agency.
