1. ACTIVITIES REFLECTING THE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE INSTITUTION

The Mission

Parvathaneni Brahmayya Siddhartha College of Arts & Science will strive to meet the
graduate and post-graduate educational needs of the region, imparting wholesome instruction
for social, cultural and economic advancement.

Goals

In fulfillment of its mission the college seeks:

   1. To respond to the educational needs of the region by starting the relevant graduate,
      Post-graduate and Certificate programmes in arts, science and commerce.
   2. To transmit and share knowledge by effective teaching, focusing on learning as well.
   3. To develop critical abilities among the students in the process of learning.
   4. To promote high levels of diverse achievements of the students by providing
      appropriate co-curricular and extra curricular support.
   5. To prepare the students to lead productive, responsible and creative lives by applying
      the acquired knowledge, for the benefit of the society as a whole.
   6. To serve the neighbourhood society.
   7. The mission and the goals of the college guide the framing of curriculum and the
      syllabi and the delivery of academic programmes.

        Encouraging faculty for paper publications and allowing them to attend faculty
development programmes as much as possible in number and inculcating them to involve in
research oriented programs, presenting papers in various national and international seminars.
Organizing student meets in turn to enable them to realize their potential. Maintaining
interaction with industry and identifying their requirements and suggesting them with
expertise of academia in tune with ground realities of application oriented theories.

P.G. Centre has been organizing seminars, workshops, guest lectures and management meets
continuously for the benefit of students and staff. We are also providing soft skill orientation
and personality development programmes for making our students to prepare well for their
career prospects.

     •    Y.Venkateswarlu, student of 2007- 09 batch was qualified for CSIR NET
          examination for LS in 2008.
     •    B.Siva Rama Krishna Reddy, student of 2006-08 batch was qualified for CSIR NET
          examination for JRF in 2008.
     •    M.Suresh, student of 2004-06 batch was qualified for CSIR NET examination for JRF
          in 2008.

  •      J.Malleswara Rao, a student of M.Sc.(Mathematics) qualified in GATE-2007 and got
         all India rank 183.

7. INITIATIVE TOWARDS FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

     •   12 of the faculty members are at present pursuing for Ph.D Degrees, 6 faculty
         members are pursuing M.Tech. and two faculty members are pursuing M.Sc.(IT).

Prof. Rajesh C Jampala
   • He is co-authored a book on “Knowledge Management”. Apart from this he
       published four articles in edited books released by ICFAI University Press.
   • He presented a paper on “Evaluation of Indian FDI flows: Post Reforms Era” in
       International seminar on Recent Trends in Capital Markets and Financial
       Innovations     (REF – CAMFN), organized by the Department of Commerce &
       Financial Studies, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchinapalli, conducted during 10
       – 11 January 2009.
   • Presented a paper on “Financial Inclusion in India-Critical Issues” in international
       Conference on Global Economic Ascendance Realm – Upscale propulsion to
       Upgrade Progress – Gear 2up, Organized by the Dept. of International Business
       and Commerce, Alagappa University Karaikudi, conducted from 31st March to 2nd
       April 2009.
   • He presented paper titled “Transnational Leadership in Globalized World” in
       International Conference on Transnational Business Challenges & Strategies
       Conducted by Educational and Research Institute, Dr. MGR University, Chennai
       held during 3 – 4 April 2009.
   • Presented Research Proposal titled “Market Micro Structure: IPOs through Book
       Building: Testing of Under pricing Phenomena in Indian Context” in Excellence
       in Research and Education Conference, organized by IIM Indore during 1-4 May
       2009.

Dr. V. Vijay Durga Prasad

     •   He published five articles in journals of repute which include: Journal I P E, HRD
         Times, University News to name a few.
     •   Apart from this he has contributed five articles which are published in various books
         released by ICFAI University Press and Himalaya Publishing House.
     •   He acted as Special Editor for the February 2009 issue of ‘Journal of Social Work’
         which has a focus area on ‘Communication Skills’.
     •   He participated and presented papers in two International Conferences held at I B
         S Hyderabad on 5th and 6th January 2009 and Siva Sivani Institute of Management,
         Secunderabad on 11th and 12th February, 2009.
     •   Mr. S. B. Rajendra Prasad and Mr. J. Durga Prasad have participated in
         Education Research Conference (EERC) held at IIM Indore.
     •   Mr. J. Durga Prasad participated in a two day national workshop on ‘Teaching
         Pedagogy’ organized by Gudlavalleru Engineering College on 30th and 31st, January,
         2009.

   •   Ch.Smitha Chowdary has participated in “An Advanced Technology Programme
       (Research Oriented)” on “Network Programming and Security” under MHRD, Govt.
       of India, conducted by Department of Computer Science and Engineering, National
       Institute of Technology, Warangal during June 9th – 21st, 2008.
   •   G.Siva Nageswara Rao, has participated in workshop on “Microsoft.Net
       Technologies” organized at Vishnu Engineering College, Bhimavaram during
       October 30, 2008 - November 1, 2008
   •   M.Kameswara Rao has participated in International Conference on “Emerging
       Technologies in Computer Science and Engineering” organised by Department of
       Computer Science & Engineering, V.R.Siddhartha Engineering College, Kanuru,
       during December 29-30, 2008.
   •   T.S.Ravi Kiran and U.Pavan Kumar attended a National seminar on “Innovative
       Teaching and Learning Methods in Technical Education” organized by M.V.R.
       Engineering College, Vijayawada, on 14th February, 2009.

 Dept. of Electronics & Physics

       •   Dr.N.V.Prasad published two research papers in the International Journals, namely
           Journal of Ferroelectrics and Journal of Ceramic International. Two more research
           abstracts on “Electrical and Pyro-electrical studies” were published in ISFI,
           Singapore and NSFD, India proceedings.
       •   Mr.J.Subrahmanyam was awarded M.Phil. degree by ANU in September 2008,
           under the guidance of Prof.P.Narayana Murthy.
       •   Prof.K.Krishna Murthy, delivered a Guest Lecture on “Advanced Fiber Optical
           Communication with Computer Simulation Programs” on 22.11.2008 at Vardhman
           Engineering College, Hyderabad.
       •   Prof.K.Krishna Murthy, visited AG & SG Degree College, Vuyyuru and VSR
           Govt., Degree College, Movva, on 30th December, 2008, as a Guest of Honour and
           enlightened the students by presenting the topic “Creating Awareness for Pursuing
           Physics at PG Level”.

Dept. of Chemistry

       •   Sri T.N.V.S.S.Satya Dev and Sri V.Sree Ram are at present pursuing for Ph.D.
           Degrees.
       •   Sri V.Sree Ram, Lecturer, has been awarded M.Phil. degree by Acharya
           Nagarjuna University in April 2008.

       •   Sri I.V.Venkateswara Rao, Lecturer, participated in “Faculty enablement
           programme on Aptitude” conducted by IEG-JKC held at ANU, during 10-14,
           November 2008.

             and its Applications with latest trends” during 11-12, September 2008, held at

     •   Mrs.N.Usha, Head of the Department, submitted her Doctoral Dissertation to Sri
         Padmavathi Mahila Viswavidyalayam, Tirupati during August 2008. She is pursuing
         P.G.C.T.E. programme of English & foreign languages University (CIEFL),
         Hyderabad.
     •   She attended a six day Faculty Enablement Programme on Soft Skills conducted by
         IEG, JKC & Globarena Technologies Pvt. Ltd. at Acharya Nagarjuna University
         during 13-18th October 2008.
     •   Mrs. N.Usha participated and presented a paper on Diaspora Literature of Chitra
         Divakaruni and Jumpa Lahiri at the International Conference on Cultural and Literaty
         Studies, conducted by the Department of English, University of Madras during 10-
         11th February 2009.
     •   Sri. K.Narasimha Rao, Part-time lecturer, presented a paper on ‘Svabhavokti in
         English Poetry’ at the National Seminar organized by Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, Tirupati
         during 30-31st January 2008.
     •   Miss. K.Santha Kumari is pursuing M.Phil. in English Literature from Acharya
         Nagarjuna University through distance mode. She is also pursuing P.G.D.C.E. from
         Central University, Hyderabad.

     HIGHER DEGREES ACHIEVED

     •   Sri M.V.N. Padma Rao, Lecturer in Physics was awarded Ph.D. in Physics on
         20-11-2008 by Acharya Nagarjuna University, Nagarjuna Nagar. He submitted his
         thesis on “Dielectric and Spectroscopic Properties of PbO-CaF2-P2O5 Glass System
         doped with copper and Molybdenum Ions and Spectroscopic features of some Rare
         Earth Ions in PbO-MF2-P2O5 (M=Ca, Zn and Pb) Glass Systems”.
     •   Sri N.K.S.P.S. Sarma, Ad-hoc Lecturer in Physics was awarded M.Phil. in Physics by
         Acharya Nagarjuna University on ‘Dielectric Studies’ as research problem.
     •   Sri S. Srinivasa Rao, Lecturer in English was awarded M.Phil. in English on
         15-11-2008 by Acharya Nagarjuna University, Nagarjuna Nagar. He submitted his
         dissertation on “Understanding Subversion as a Discourse in Narendra Jadhav’s
         Outcaste & Sharan Kumar Limbale’s the Outcaste”.

Student Meet
• XV SIMBS Meet 2009 KURUKSHETRA a Management Students Meet was
   Organized on 16-02-2009. Nearly 640 MBA Students From 39 Colleges have
   participated in the Event. Sri. .K. ChandranSekran, Chief Regional Manger, THE
   HINDU was the Chief Guest for the Prize Distribution function.
• “Utpadakata” Student contest on the theme of Productivity Improvement was
   organized in association with Vijayawada Productivity Council on 17th February
   2009. Nearly 250 students from Four different colleges were participated in three
   events.
• “CONVERGENCE 2009” a Commerce Students Meet was organized on 20-02-
   2009. Nearly 240 M.Com Students from 9 Colleges have participated in the Event.
   Sri. Prabhakar Kammula, a noted Chartered Accountant, Vijayawada was the Chief
   Guest for the Inaugural function.
• Industry Academia Interaction Meet was organized on 26th March, 2009.

Dept. of Computer Science:

•   A workshop on Computer Fundamentals for socially and economically deprived
    adolescent girls/women for three weeks during April 5-30, 2008 in association with
    Women and Child Welfare Agency, Krishna District.
•   A workshop on SOFTWARE INSTALLATION in association with Computer
    Society of India, Vijayawada chapter during May 14 – 16, 2008 .The resource
    persons of the Software Installation are V.V.Ramana, Systems Analyst, and Chief
    Resource Person is G.Kamesh, Technical Staff. The entire faculty – Prof.G.Rama
    Koteswara Rao, G.Siva Nageswara Rao, K.Kiran Kumar, T.S.Ravi Kiran, G.Krishna
    Mohan, M.Kameswara Rao, and Ch.Smitha Chowdary are the resource persons in a
    knowledge sharing initiative during the setup, disk copying, and formatting time thus
    reducing the idle time and resulting in maximum productivity.
•   A Seminar on “Journalism” by Sri Devi Rajan Nair, Public Relations, Sri Sri Centre
    for Media Studies, Bangalore on July 10th, 2008 .
•   A Workshop on “Career Guidance” by Sri M.R.K.Murthy, Chief Executive Officer,
    Campus Careers, Vijayawada for the final year students of MCA and M.Sc.(CS) on
    July 22nd, 2008.
•   A seminar on “Project Development” on July 28th, 2008 by Sri Veera, Director –
    Academics, SSIT, Hyderabad as the resource person.

•   A Seminar on “Knowledge Engineering and Intelligent Information Systems” in
    association with Computer Society of India, Vijayawada chapter on September 12,
    2008. Sri T.Hanuman Chowdary, Advisor Satyam & TCS, Hyderabad, Dr.Raja Rao,
    CMD, Vision Labs, Sri Vijay Tambwekar, TCS, Sri D.Rama Krishna, CEO,
    Efftronics and Dr.S.Lakshmi Narayana, National Institute of Oceanography,
    Visakhapatnam were the resource persons. Around 350 delegates including P.G.
    Computer Science students have participated in this seminar.
•   A workshop on “Software Engineering” during September 29th 2008 to October 2nd
    2008. Sri Veera, Director – Academics, SSIT, Hyderabad was the resource person.
•   A workshop on “Data Warehousing and Data Mining” on 5th December, 2008. Sri
    Ch.Vamsi Krishna, First Indian Corporation, Bangalore was the resource person.
•   A Seminar on “ Various products from Microsoft and the features in the latest
    releases “ by Sri D.Sai Satish, KLCE for M.Sc.(CS) final year students and staff on A
    Workshop on “.NET” and “PHP” for M.Sc(CS) final year students for their project
    work during December 1st to December 20th, 2008. Prof.G.Rama Koteswara Rao and
    Programmer Y.Srinivas were the resource persons.
•   A workshop on “Hardware Assembling” on 3rd January, 2009. Sri V.V.Ramana,
    Systems Analyst was the resource person.
•   Organized an “Academic Developer Conference 2009” in association with Microsoft
    Corporation on January 23, 2009. The keynote address was delivered by Sri
    Mohamed Reza, Microsoft Academic Advisor, Bangalore. The other resource persons

21.    IMPROVEMENT IN THE LIBRARY SERVICES


PG

       Library has a good collection on all disciplines. Besides it has general collection
       which are very useful for Competitive Examinations. Our collection researches to
       23336 Books, 67 Journals and 60 Periodicals both National and International.
       During this academic year 943 volumes of books have been procured and total
       amount spend on Books & Journals is Rs.321893/-.
       Library is providing Internet with Multimedia facility with seven systems to fulfill the
       requirements of staff and students.

       Our library has a collection of 56,457 books and subscribes to 136 known periodicals
       and journals on Science & Technology, Business & Commerce, Literature &
       Economics and Career oriented issues. A good number of audio-visual materials in
       the form of CDs were procured during this academic year. The library consists of
       having 1,358 CDs of which some are CBTs. Our students and staff make use of it to
       enhance the horizon of their erudition. The management provided Free Internet
       facility open for all students and the staff members. The library is kept open from
       7.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. with a view to provide accessibility to the knowledge seekers.

28.   COMPUTER AND INTERNET ACCESS AND TRAINING TO TEACHERS AND STUDENTS

      All the staff rooms are provided with internet facility. 5 computer labs with total
      number of 250 computers systems were provided with Internet facility. 5 systems in
      the PG library were also provided with internet access. The PG centre has subscribed
      256 kbps band width for 24 hours from My Guru Online.

         The management made Internet facility open for all students and staff free of cost. It
         is kept open from 7.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. with a view of providing accessibility to the

      M.Swaty, MCA-III and P.Pedavenkateswarlu, MCA-II received cash awards an amount
      of Rs. 4500/- and Rs. 4000/- respectively from a fund instituted by Modesto Sisters

1. The college grants scholarships to eligible students who do not receive any aid from the
   government. Scholarships are also granted by Siddhartha Foundation, a charitable trust
   of the Siddhartha Academy. More than 10% of the students receive one form of aid or the
   other.
2. To encourage the students to excel in their studies, the Management has instituted the
   following awards.
3. Sri B. Srinivasa Rao Memorial Cash Prizes for securing the highest marks in Economics
   in B.A., and B.Com courses.
4. Nine Cash prizes of Rs.250/- each to the best student of B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com. courses
   in I, II & III years.
5. Sri Sureddy Ramabrahmam cash prize of Rs.2,500/- for the student who secures highest
   marks in B.Sc. course.
6. Department of Chemistry cash prize: A cash prize of Rs.1,116/- will be awarded to the
   candidate who secures highest marks in the Chemistry subject in the I to VI semester-end
   examinations in all the three years.

30.      ACTIVITIES AND SUPPORT FROM THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

          Siddhartha Alumni Association is growing the strength. The hopeful sign is that more
          and more former students have come forward to join the association. The total
          strength of the association as on date is 4650. Though it is a small number compared
          to the total number of students passed out of the college it is a formidable number
          indeed. Its present corpus is Rs.7,50,512.20 and it has undertaken following activities
          during the year under report.

          1. Alumni paid Rs.5,100/- towards tuition fee for Mr.Uppala Redankaiah, Roll
             No.071333 of II B.Sc.(MPCS).
          2. Alumni paid Rs.1,500/- towards tuition fee for Mr.Sumanth of III B.Sc.(MPC).
          3. Alumni of PBSC distributed books and uniform to 100 students of Municipal
             Primary School, New Electricity Colony, Vijayawada, on 15th August, 2008,
             worth of Rs.20,000/-.
          4. A free Dental camp was conducted by Alumni association at Municipal Primary
             School, New Electricity Colony, Vijayawada. Distributed medicines worth of
             Rs.10,000/-.
          5. Alumni felicitated Sri A. Karunakara Prasad, Former Lecturer in Commerce and
             Dr.J. Anjaneya Prasad, Former HOD, Department of Zoology on 5th September
             2008.

Regular bimonthly meetings – parent counseling by Principal, Vice-Principal, Controller of
Examinations and Tutor In-charges.

Health centre is provided for students and staff through regular medical checkups. Urban
medical centre of Pinnamaneni Siddhartha Medical & Research Foundation is catering to the
needs of both students and staff.

      •   Sri A. Rama Babu, III B.Com. selected for Acharya Nagarjuna University Soft Ball
          team and participated in the All India Inter University Soft Ball tournament held at
          Osmania University, Hyderabad.
      •   Sri M. Venkatesh, III B.Sc. selected for Acharya Nagarjuna University Volley ball
          team. The team participated in the South Zone University held at Mangalore
          University, Karnataka.

           UGC sponsored National Symposium on “Birch & Brown - Contributions to
           Development of Organic Chemistry” organized by PG Department of Chemistry,
           T.J.P.S. College, Guntur during 11-12 September, 2008.

           to their curriculum. The students participated in discussions on their projects and
           submitted CDs and papers related to their projects during the I/III/V semesters in
           2008-2009.
           The Department of English mentored three students of III BCA in their preparation

      Ms.K.S.N. Pavani Lakshmi of III B.A. (EMS) 060107, participated in Economics
      Talent test conducted by VSR Govt. Degree College, Movva in Acharya Nagarjuna
      University area and secured II place and received cash prize of Rs.1500/- on
      17-12-2008.
      Sri Vadde Kishore Kumar of B.Com. (EM) old student of our college got 40th All
      India Rank in CA (Inter) in June-2008.
      Students of B.Sc. (BZC) and NSS volunteers took a rally in the eve of ‘Malaria Day’
      on 20-08-2008 to commemorate the discovery of vector for plasmodium by Sir
      Ronald Ross.
      The students of Zoology actively participated in Blood group camp conducted by the
      department of Zoology at Boyapati Sivaramaiah Memorial Municipal Corporation
      School, Moghalrajpuram, Vijayawada on 23-01-2009.
      The students of B.SC. (MPE) and B.Sc. (MECS) participated in ‘Erudite Fest’
      organised by Nalanda Degree College, Vijayawada on 11-11-2008.
      The students of III B.Sc. (MPE) conducted EASS quiz programme for I & II year
      B.Sc. (MECS) students on 23-12-2008.
      The students of III B.Sc. (MPE) and II B.Sc. (MECS) participated in Quiz program
      organised by Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada and won 2nd prize on 23-01-2009.
      The students of II B.Sc. (MECS) participated and presented papers at CBIT,
      Hyderabad on 22-02-2009.
      AD-MAD, an event in Ad-making was organised by BBM students on 14-06-2008.
      Salesmanship event was organised by BBM students on 28-06-2008.
      Quizzomania, Quiz competition on Business was organised for BBM students on
      12-07-2008.
      An event on Personality Development was organised for BBM students on 25-09-
      2008.
      A two-day Management meet ‘MAGNOVA-2008’ at South India level was
      conducted on 19 & 20 Sept, 2008.
      FANTASIZE, an event in Personal Communication was organised for BBM students
      on 30-01-2009.
      Staff and students of Computer Science Association (CSA) organized
      ‘BLITZKRIEG’08’, a one day programme of intercollegiate IT competitions for
      undergraduate students of colleges under the jurisdiction of Acharya Nagarjuna
      University on 26th September 2008 at Siddhartha Auditorium. The programme has
      been inaugurated by Mr. K.S. Lakshmana Rao, M.L.C. of Krishna and Guntur
      Districts Teachers Constituency, Mr. P.L.N. Prasad, Secretary, SAGTE, Dr. N.
      Satyanarayana, Principal, P.B. Siddhartha college of Arts & Science. Mr. K.S.
      Lakshmana Rao made inaugural speech. 150 participants from 22 different colleges
      participated in the events of Exegesis (Paper Presentation), Proquest (IT Quiz),
      Maverick (Extempore) and Designers Bliss (Add a design).
      Staff and students of Life Sciences organized a conference on ‘Bio-Vision’, on
      17-02-2009. The Vice-Chancellor of Krishna University Prof. M.K. Durga Prasad has
      given the inaugural address.

          The placement activities for 2009 passouts have commenced with a lecture by Sri.
          Vijaya Maruti Babu, Training and Placement Officer, V.R.Siddhartha Engineering
          College, Kanuru on “Being Placement Ready”.
          The department has engaged the services of Neo Careers Pvt. Ltd, Vijayawada for
          imparting training in the areas of Aptitude, Verbal, Reasoning, Technical expertise
          and Group Discussions for MCA-II students. Fifty students are participating in the
          six-week training which is taking place on our campus.

  The P.G.Centre has provided healthy atmosopher to the students & staff by providing
  Acquagaurd facility for drinking water and good sanitation facility.

UG Courses:

  1. A built in system of ensuring internal quality check in all administrative and
      academic activities. (our results and selection of our students in premier institutions
      stand testimony to this).
  2. All categories of students are being trained in computer skills.
  3. Faculty and students’ personality development programmes are continuous
      programmes.
  4. Upgradation and modernization of syllabus wherever possible. Choice Based Credit
      System and grading.
  5. College introduced the Group Insurance scheme to all the teaching, non-teaching
      staff and Insurance to all the students.
  6. Students encouraged to participate in sports, cultural and co-curricular competitions;
      Advanced learners were given the opportunity to present their papers in State /
      National level seminars along with staff members.
  7. Staff of the college are sensitized to the managerial concepts of strategic planning
      team work, decision making and computerization to some extent.
  8. Value based education in the form of organizing extension services, guest lectures
      and the celebration of Population Day, Environmental Day, Consumer Day etc.
  9. Seminars/Symposia/Workshops/Special lectures are arranging in a good number in all
      faculties to enrich the knowledge of faculty and students
  10. The college is organising a good number of extension services to serve fellow human
      in need. Blood donation, Aids awareness, financial support to the needy besides NSS,
      NCC, Rotaract activities etc. Some of the staff members and philanthropic public are
      contributing to the payment of fees to the poor students. Students by foregoing their
      refreshments on College Day donating these sums to the needy eg: Kargil Martyr’s
      family, Tsunami relief, earthquake relief etc.
  11. The counselling centre of the college is offering personal and career guidance to the
      students.
  12. Campus interviews are taking place every year Eureka Forbes, Gati Cargo, Divi
      Laboratories, Bhadrachalam Paper Boards, Satyam Computers, Dell Computers are
      regular visitors for placement interviews.
  13. Examination, admission process, library and office administrations was
      computerized. Bio-metric system was introduced to register the attendance of staff
      members.
  14. Seizing the opportunity provided by the autonomy we thoroughly changed the
      curriculum in English under Part-II and introduced Communication skills
      15 years back. Last year our students published more than 25 articles in THE HINDU
      Education plus column.
  15. There is a central Xerox, reprographic facility in the library. It is having open access
      system and free Internet facility to both the staff and students.
  16. The management honours the meritorious students by awarding gold medals and cash
      prizes. Similarly the teachers who do not avail themselves of any leave in a year are
      honoured with a cash award of Rs. 500/- each.
  17. The management encourages sports and games. Every year fee concessions and fee
      waivers are granted to 15 to 20 sports students, besides free board and room.
  18. Internal Quality Assurance Cell formulates strategies to ensure quality assurance and
      improvement. It arranges to collect feedback on amenities and teachers from         the

          students, analyse and submit reports to the Principal for counselling to poor
          performers. It also collects feedback on courses from students and outside teacher
          experts.
      19. The college has undertaken examination reforms like increasing minimum pass mark
          to 40% in case of undergraduate courses, marks for attendance, moderation of results
          etc., which paved the way for an overall academic improvement.
      20. The Subject Associations conduct competitions in extra-curricular skills like
          elocution, debate and essay writing besides arranging guest lectures.
      21. On behalf of the Management, the college conducts ‘Siddhartha Srijanootsav’ – A
          festival of creativity to bring out the best of multifaceted talents of the students all
          over Andhra Pradesh in the spheres of fine arts, culture, personality development,
          communication skills etc. It also conducts Parvataneni Brahmayya South India
          Volleyball tournament to motivate the students of other colleges also.
      22. Teachers and students take active interest in serving the society by holding medical
          camps, blood donation camps, Aids-awareness programmes, conducting surveys for
          the local authorities and state Government etc.,
      23. “Siddhartha Kalapeetham”, the cultural wing of the Academy in collaboration with
          the college conducts programmes for the promotion of Indian heritage and culture.
      24. Alumni with outstanding achievement academic or otherwise are invited to address
          the students to guide and motivate them.
