MEMO FROM PRESIDENT BREEN

March 31, 2011

FOR GENERAL RELEASE

We here at the Elsewhere Numismatic Society have heard Commander Fourteen's recent Dispatch from Elsewhere
and find ourselves in an odd position: that we have now been called upon to join forces with our opponents. I find
it amusing that an organization like the Elsewhere Public Works Agency, with its history of guerrilla tactics,
would call for unity among the Nonchalant groups. Once their terrorist-like tactics have failed--propagandizing,
vandalism, radicalized "squadrons," and even hostage-taking--only then do they call out for help in their
transparent power-grab.

Commander, while you may consider our differences merely “procedural squabbles,” the Numismatists have been
subject to ongoing and pervasive harassment by the forces of “true nonchalance” since our founding. (You thought
we wouldn’t notice when you mocked us with “wooden nickels?”) Asking us to ignore this to achieve petty
political gain for you personally is, frankly, galling.

I cannot speak for all our members, but I personally support Octavio Coleman, Esq. and what he has done with the
Jejune Institute. By nobly assuring the safety of those who wish to experience Nonchalance through a structured
series of products, he has done more to encourage social change than the EPWA could hope. Our agents and
members will be attending the upcoming Socio-Engineering seminar in a show of support to Dr. Coleman.
(Though in light of our ongoing harassment, some of them may be dressed as civilians, philatelists, or squadron
members.)

Remember that there are two sides to every coin.

PRESIDENT H. W. BREEN
