A Note From The President
I want to personally thank all of the Alumni and Friends for the many gifts that they have given to Indian Hills. These gifts have not just been monetary in nature. They are often heartfelt support of our current students and initiatives as well as advice to our program directors. As you know, “our college” has become a very special thing to thousands of Dr. Jim people. Indian Hills often provides a starting Lindenmayer portal to those who would not otherwise have IHCC President an opportunity to get post secondary education or training. Indian Hills sometimes provides a second chance to those who have taken a detour for one reason or another. Indian Hills has always been a comfortable place for students of all ages and backgrounds to gain support in their endeavors. Through all of the years, the culture of this college has been a nurturing one. You will be glad to know that there are still great people here that care about students. Some of them are probably the same friendly faces that you knew. As usual, there are many things going on at your college. Our new Alumni Office is busy planning a homecoming event to be held the weekend of February 14th (you’ll find details elsewhere in this newsletter). There will also be an alumni event in June. I really hope that you can make it back to one or both of these activities. You are part of Indian Hills, and we want you to continue to enjoy your affiliation with your college; besides, we miss seeing our old friends. I think you will continue to be proud of your college, and I look forward to seeing you in February. Best wishes.

Meet Rhonda Conrad
Hello! I’m so excited about my new position as development coordinator at Indian Hills! Some of you may remember me. I’ve been an instructor with the college for the past 14 years teaching a variety of computer and communications courses. My new position gives me the opportunity to work with many of you Rhonda Conrad again. One of our goals is to do a better job of keeping in touch with our former students. To do this, we’d like to increase the number of alumni members who are listed on the IHCC web site in the Alumni Directory and who receive our semi-annual newsletter. Please take a few moments to check your information in the Alumni Directory at www.ihcc.cc.ia.us, and contact us if you’re not listed or if any information has changed. Also, please encourage others who have attended IHCC to sign up with us; it’s all free, as a service of your college, Indian Hills. Please contact me at rconrad@ihcc.cc.ia.us to give me ideas about how IHCC and I can best serve you.
