Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma or General Education Development (G.E.D.) certificate.

Required Qualifications: Applicants must have current AZ POST certification and a minimum of two years of
continuous employment as a peace officer in the state of Arizona. Applicants must also be willing to commit to a
PERMANENT assignment to the Ajo District in Ajo, Arizona. These positions involve rotating shifts with rotating
days off.

Licenses and Certificates: Possession of an appropriate category of Arizona driver's license is required at the time of
appointment. Special notice items: At time of appointment, must be 21 years of age, a resident of the State of Arizona,
registered as a voter in Pima County and able to read and write the English language.

All positions require satisfactory completion of a background investigation due to need for access to law enforcement,
corrections and courts facilities, property, communications and associated confidential information, documents, databases
and evidentiary materials. Pre-/post-appointment drug screening and polygraph examinations are required of all positions
due to the need for access as described above. Applicants must not have any felony convictions.

The testing process is scheduled as follows:

          FINANCIAL OPERATIONS SPECIALIST – CENTRAL FINANCE - 1388

Minimum Qualifications: Current enrollment in an accredited college or university at the undergraduate or graduate

Hydrology, Environmental Sciences, Architecture, AutoCad, Drafting, Watershed Management, Transportation, Planning,
Soil & Water Science, Computer applications, etc.).

Licenses and Certificates: A valid Class D Arizona Driver's License is required at time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications for the Planning Section:
    1. Graduate level enrollment in an Urban Planning degree program.
    2. Knowledge of research methods, land use ordinances and planning principles.

Preferred Qualifications for two positions in the Engineering Section:

                                (SENIOR REPORT ANALYST)

 The successful candidate for this position will be a key contributor in the ongoing implementation of Pima County’s new
 ERP system, replacing legacy systems in support of Finance and Risk Management, Procurement, Human Resources,
 Payroll, Work Order, Inventory and Asset Management. This position requires strong skills in data analysis reporting and
 data warehousing, including experience assisting customers in converting data to information, and will make
 recommendations to the Technical Leadership Team regarding reporting in an Enterprise, Business Objects reporting
 environment.

 Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, university or technical trade school with a
 major in a Computer or Information Technology discipline or a closely related degree, and two years of software
 development experience.      (Additional education from an accredited college, university or technical trade
 school/experience may be substituted.)

wastewater treatment facility. OR An Associate’s Degree or Advanced Certificate for Direct Employment from an
accredited community college or technical school in wastewater technology, water technology, or environmental
technology and six months of experience in the operation of a secondary wastewater treatment system or facility. OR
Two years of experience with Pima County as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator-Senior. OR Holding a current
Arizona Grade 3 (or higher) Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certification and two years of experience in wastewater
treatment plant operations or maintenance.

Licenses and Certificates: All positions require a valid Arizona Grade 3 Wastewater Operator Certificate and a valid

                                                (MITIGATION SPECIALIST)

The Social Worker in the Legal Defender’s Office is responsible for providing expert guidance in areas of mitigation,
treatment, rehabilitation, and particularly sentencing/disposition alternatives.

Minimum Qualifications: A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in social work. OR A
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a behavioral or social service, or closely related
field and two years of experience in client, family or crisis intervention counseling. (Additional relevant education from an

Preferred Qualifications:
    1. Experience in developing and documenting extensive and sensitive psycho/social history through investigation,

Desired Qualifications: Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Arizona with at least ten years nursing experience.

This is an unclassified position, not subject to the Pima County Merit System Rules.

Preferred Qualifications:
    1. At least three years experience as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing.
    2. Working knowledge and experience with Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations.
    3. Communication and organizational skills.

This position is in the Nursing Administration Division of Posada del Sol.

                                ELECTIONS DEPUTY DIRECTOR - 7620

Must attend the Arizona Secretary of State Election Officer Certification Course of Instruction and be certified as an
Election Officer after appointment to position.

required to undergo a background check due to the sensitive nature of conducting elections.

Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Business, Public Administration, Government,
