You need: tape or safety pins, Unit 21 Basic Words written on individual
index cards or sheets of paper
How to play:
Tape or pin a card or sheet of paper to the back of each player, being careful players do not see their own words. Each player finds a partner. 1. Players read the word on their partner’s back to themselves. 2. Players take turns giving clues to help their partners identify their words. Clues can be rhyming words, beginning sounds, synonyms, and so on. 3. If a player guesses the word on his or her back, the partner asks for the spelling. When the word is identified and correctly spelled, the partner removes it. Then the players switch roles. The first pair to identify and correctly spell both their words wins.
