Tuesday, July 14, 2009 RED KNIGHT NOW DEVELOPING iPHONE/iPOD® TOUCH APPLICATIONS FOR CLIENTS First Partnering Agreement with Coracle Online for iPhone/iPod Learning-based Game Richardson, Texas - With two successful applications already in the iTunes App Store, e-learning developer Red Knight Learning Systems has begun development of its third iPhone/iPod Touch application, for client Coracle Online, Ltd. (www.coracleonline.com). Coracle, based near Cambridge, UK, delivers expert professional development packages and training solutions for the shipping industry, and has taken another innovative step by developing one of the first learning-based maritime games for mobile devices.
The game, with the planned title of “Ship It!,” helps players understand four basic types of ships, their related cargo, and relative loading times. The ultimate goal is to manage all ships and cargo in the most efficient manner, while having fun. Just like real life! “This learning-based game for Coracle has the goals of being both educational and lots of fun for anyone who likes App Store games,” stated John Purdy, president of Red Knight. “We thrive on innovative uses of digital media to enhance learning, so what better partner for us than Coracle?” The application is scheduled for delivery to Coracle in late July; it will be published under Coracle’s name in the App Store.
