Press Release/for immediate release From: Barbara J. Beitel Telephone: (609) 465-3963 DOWN TO THE SUNSET IN SHIPS ON THE MS. AVALON BENEFIT OF ACCESS TO ART MUSIC FESTIVAL Avalon. Put August 6th on your calendar, when Access to Art will break from its music festival for its Island Sunset Cruise on the Ms. Avalon, the fishing/party boat owned by Jerry & Diane Hurd. Food, beer, wine, and entertainment will all be part of the seaworthy back bay cruise which takes in the glorious sunsets, and the little inlets along the back bay of Avalon. This boat rocks, but not with the tides, which are gentle and calm. We will present some live music, delicious food, beverages, and good cameradie. Reservations may be obtained by calling Access to Art, Inc. (they are necessary so that we can plan the amount of food and beverages with the amount of people). Last year we went out with a shower of lighting strikes lighting up the sky. This year we are planning on seeing one of the glorious sunsets for which the Avalon Back Bay is noted. You must report to the dock at Avalon Fishing Center, l4th & Ocean Drive. There is ample parking there. Cost is $50. per person and proceeds benefit Access to Art, a l7 year old not for profit that presents the visual and performing arts. Access will present two more concerts in September on September l2th when the fabulous Mondrian Ensemble, Philadelphia Orchestra strings and Aurelia Mika Chang perform, and on Sept. l9th when Alexander Markov, violinist extraordinaire, winner of the gold medal at the Paganini Festival will perform for Access to Art, Inc. Both events are at 7 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Cape May on 625 Washington St. On November l4th, Access to Art will present “As You Like It” with the internationally known Aquila Theatre Company, founded in London, and housed, now, at NYU’s Ancient Studies Department.
