web2print just got a whole lot easier... The print industry has always been a fiercely competitive one, and these days even more so. Now you can strengthen your customer relationships by offering them much more than just print - opportunities to grow their business. WEB2PRINT MADE EASY The majority of Mac operators in print production are skilled in preparing documents for print, but have little experience in preparing documents for web2print. Printxchange bridges this gap by using a unique piece of software called Pageflex Studio. Operators can be trained to use all of their conventional skills to produce web2print compatible templates but without having to learn HTML. Pageflex even has special plug-ins that allow you to re-purpose your existing Quark and Indesign files, allowing you to create the most sophisticated interactive web templates templates that flex in shape and size depending on the content that your customers enter. Templates that can be fully edited in real time via the browser, allowing you to change pictures, edit text size and font attributes. Templates so sophisticated that, when a customer logs on, all artwork on the server is immediately personalised with the customers' logo and address details and is available for immediate order. This system will save literally hours on artwork creation for print! STUDIO IN ACTION A customer file, supplied as a PDF, is simply opened directly into Studio. All the selected items are assigned as variables for entry via the web site. Every time a marketing piece is sent out via email, or print, the same data is used to create a personalised web space. A PURL looks like this: www.printxchange.co.uk/Jack.Schmit or www.printxchange.co.uk/Robert.Sole This web space can contain information for the relevant customer and asks the user to complete a customer survey or web form, giving valuable information back to the marketeer. A great example of how all these technologies come together is the launch of a new product or service. A personalised email and postcard can be sent out to your customer giving details of the launch with an incentive for your customer to attend. For example, a choice of three gifts as a raffle prize. The customer would log onto the personalised URL, complete the service and register for the event and select the gift they would like if they were to win. On arrival at the event, the customer is given a personalised raffle ticket and product information. Letts, had been looking for a system that would enable them to give their customers the ability to design, create and personalise the diaries they order online.
