A Note from International President, Pat Jarvis
The little four-letter word “hope” is often used when we are writing and/or talking with each other.
In using the word, have we stopped to think about the meaning? To know for sure, the meaning was
checked in the dictionary. The first meaning is “ to desire with expectation of fulfillment.” As we use
the word “hope”, we desire with the expectation that whatever we are referring to will be fulfilled. Mountain High Circle of Friends
                                                                                                                    Sept. 13-17, 2009 Nov. 6-8, 2009
For this year, what are your hopes, what are your dreams, what do you wish to see fulfilled? How
will they be fulfilled? Our beautiful Code says, “Visions and dreams are the seedlings of reality.”
Without visions, without dreams, is there hope? Our challenge is to turn our visions into dreams and
reach for them. As was so aptly quoted during the installation ceremony “Define your future by your
dreams and not by your memories, by your HOPES and not by your fears.” As we are beginning the
third month of our year, we are challenged to hope and dream and turn our hopes and dreams into
realities as we work to further the positive influence of Pilot. To share an old adage, SUCCESS comes Higher Ground
