th st, PRIVATE LESSONS: One-on-one instruction with one of our certified instructors. PRE-SCHOOL CLASSES (3-5 years) SAND DOLLAR: Class for beginners with emphasis on basic water skills and safety in a comfortable aquatic environment. SAND CRAB: Helps children become more confident in the water, expand on basic water and safety skills and learn the beginner stroke. SEA HORSE: Children will refine beginner strokes and increase swimming competency, be able to swim 20 feet and practice water safety. Sea Star: T h i s c l a s s b u i l d s e n d u r a n c e w h i l e m a s t e r i n g f r e e s t y l e technique for 25yds and refines backstroke for 15yds. YOUTH CLASSES (6 YEARS AND UP) PENQUIN: Class for beginners with emphasis on basic water and safety skills while learning stroke techniques. OTTER: Swimmers learn freestyle, side breathing, body position and balance. Skills include learning freestyle and backstroke, survival floating and deep-water orientation. SEAL: Expands on swimming strokes. T e a c h e s t h e fundamentals of backstroke, jumping in deep water with a life jacket, learning self-rescue skills and how to help others. Increase swimming distance to 50 yards. RSD Prep: Children learn competency in strokes and safety skills beyond all preceding levels. Emphasis is on building endurance while they continue refinement of freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke. Children will develop maximum efficiency and endurance for strokes, rescue skills, dives and treading water. Prepares swimmers for our RSD Swim Team!

Directions for registration: All swim lesson participants must register for classes online with the Club Assistant program. Please register with Club Assistant by visiting www.PositivePlaceSD.org, click Aquatics, Swim Lessons, Weekend Lessons. Please save the receipt which assigns a login name and password for the Club Assistant program. This will allow you to sign up for consecutive swim lessons throughout the year. There are no refunds once lessons are paid for. You may only receive a credit. There will be no credit given for classes canceled less than 48 hours in advance. Weekend lessons must be canceled the Thursday before your scheduled lesson. There will be Limited spots available for each group swim lesson. Swim diapers are mandatory for all children that are not completely potty trained.
