The Madelia Pool/Slide is an outdoor pool which is open from June through August.
Open swimming hours are 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm seven days a week (weather permitting).
Season passes may be purchased at the swimming pool and must be paid in full at the time of the purchase. A family season pass (up to 6 immediate family members) costs $90.00. Individual passes cost $50.00.
Swimming lessons are two weeks long and are given during three sessions starting in mid-June of each year. All lessons are Red Cross certified and are taught by certified WSI instructors. Adult aerobics is also offered. Personal telephone calls made from the pool will be limited to one minute as this is a business telephone. Please follow the rules which are posted at the entrance of the pool and in the swimming area. Concerns should be filed with the pool manager in a timely manner.
Admission is $3.00 per person afternoons and $2.00 nights. Use of the water slide is included in admission price.
Other passes include: $50.00 for a Grandparents Pass (up to six out-oftown family members); $15.00 for a 3-Day Pass (up to three family members); and $25.00 for a Weekly Pass (up to three family members).
Gift certificates are available at city hall. The pool will close whenever the number of swimmers drops below 10 after 3:00 pm or 7:30 pm.
As part of the swimming pool complex, there is a concession stand and a pop vending machine.
A wading pool is part of the Swimming Pool complex. Adult supervision of the children using this pool is required.
Picnic tables and additional seating are available for individuals watching or waiting for pool participants. If you are planning a birthday party or swimming party, please contact the pool manager to find out the times that the pool is available for a party. The pool rental fee is $50.00.
All employees are Red Cross Certified Lifeguards.
Only U.S. Coast Guard approved flotation devices are allowed in the pool.
