To begin with, next Friday night is Family Fun Night at Impression Five Museum. This is a wonderful time for families to get together and enjoy each other's company outside of school. Please return the form (on the back of this newsletter) if you wish to attend. The event is FREE, however PTO needs a headcount. By now you should have received a Conference Request Form. We traditionally have wonderful parent attendance at conferences, which is beneficial to everyone, most especially your child/ren. Please return your form as soon as possible, but no later than Friday, March 13. As a reminder, students do not have school from Thursday, April 2 through Friday, April 10. Students return from their spring break on Monday, April 13. In May, we will be celebrating reading month. Look for more details on this in upcoming newsletters! As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. ARRIVING LATE TO SCHOOL Please be aware that school starts at 8:40 a.m. If your child arrives after this time, they must check in at the office before heading to class. If they will need a hot lunch, we must know their choice before 9:00 a.m. Lunch orders must be called into our food service at that time and we can only guarantee your child's choice if we have their selection on time. If you know they are going to be late, you may call the office at any time of the day or night and leave us a message indicating they will be late and letting us know their lunch choice. You can even let us know the day before! We do not want children to be sad with a lunch choice they are unhappy eating; so please let us know ahead of time. LEAVING SCHOOL EARLY FROM SCHOOL PTO NEWS The next Greenwood PTO meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 11 at 6:00 p.m. in the art room. If you need to pick up your child during the school day for an appointment, etc., please be aware that you must come into the office to sign them out. For safety reasons, your child will only be released to those persons listed on their yellow emergency card. Sending a note to school with your child ahead of time is very helpful. COOKIE DOUGH SALE PTO is hosting a cookie dough fundraiser for our “Take Home Books” program. Cookie dough, fudge cakes and caramel corn will be sold for $10 a tub/cube between March 13 – 25. Delivery will be held on April 13. Order forms will be coming home in today's Friday folders.
