Cat Care Society 2010 Calendar Photo Contest Cat Care Society is putting together a calendar for 2010 and we need your help. The photo contest is open to all cats and their friends. Send us your favorite picture of your feline friend. We want funny photos, serious shots, holiday honors, seasonal snaps – dress them up or just catch them napping, but please nothing indecent. We’ll select the cutest, funniest and best dressed to be featured as the photo of the month. Don’t distress because your photo could have a place in the calendar – we plan to use as many entries as we can. The opportunity to appear as the cover photo will be auctioned off live at our 21st annual “Kitz and Katz in Hollywood – Annual Dinner and Auction” on Saturday, September 12, 2009. We will arrange to have a professional photographer come to the home of the highest bidder to take the cover photo; they will receive a framed copy of the photo and a free calendar. The cover photo will also be featured on a page inside the calendar. The value of all this is $1,000. In addition to the featured monthly photos, there will be 24 photos selected as honorable mentions which will appear in prominent places throughout the calendar. The winners and honorable mentions will also receive a free calendar. So here’s how it will work Non-Refundable Entry Fee: $35 for one photo, $50 for two photos, $5 for each additional photo. Note: 75% of your total entrance fee can be considered a donation to CCS. FOR DIGITAL PHOTOS: • Use the highest resolution possible on your camera. • Photo sizes should be no larger than 2mb • All digital photos must be in a JPEG format. • Please name the photo file as follows: “PetName.YourFirstInitial.YourLastName” for example: Maui.S.Leggett • Email your entry form and photo files to Sherri Leggett, Director of Operations at sleggett@catcaresociety.org Please note, if you are sending in more than one photo, you may have to email each photo separately. • Or mail your photos on a disk, with the entry form and entry fee, to Sherri at the shelter and make sure you have labeled the disk with your name and phone number. FOR ALL OTHER PHOTOS: • Photos should be no larger than 8”x10” and must be printed on quality photo paper • Place a label on the back of the photo (do not write on the back of the photo) with the following information: » Pet’s name, if more than one pet, label them from left to right as they appear in the photo » Your full name » Your phone number » If different than you, the name of the photographer • When mailing, please sandwich the photo(s) between 2 pieces of cardboard to protect them from damage.
