☼ THINKING DAY. FEBRUARY 22, 2009 EVERYONE WEAR YOUR GIRL SCOUT T-SHIRT! All
Girl Scout adults and girls are encouraged to promote Girl Scouting throughout their communities
by wearing a Girl Scout T-Shirt on February 21 and February 22, 2009. The purpose is to bring
awareness for the need of adult volunteers in Girl Scouting. We hope those that are interested in
Girl Scouting will ask the adult Girl Scout they see some questions. We need adults to volunteer
not just in leadership positions but also in other capacities. If all our volunteers wear a T-Shirt on
these two days when they are out and about in their communities it will be like walking billboards.
If we all do it, it could make an impact. Please help us promote World Thinking Day, a day of
universal awareness and recognition of Girl Scouting. We can’t do it without you!! THANK YOU.

☼ LITTLE BROWNIE BAKERS STATEMENT. Below is a statement from Little Brownie Bakers, our
cookie baker regarding the safety of specific Girl Scout cookies in light of the peanut butter recalls
    nationwide:
The peanut butter used in all Little Brownie Bakers Girl Scout® cookie products is not
sourced from the supplier involved in the current peanut butter recall. FDA and other
regulatory agencies have indicated that Peanut Corporation of America (PCA) is the
focus of their investigation concerning a recent Salmonella outbreak thought to be
caused by tainted peanut butter. PCA does not supply peanut butter used in the
Company’s Tagalongs® or Do-si-dos® branded Girl Scout® cookies. Food safety is of
the utmost importance to us. We appreciate the trust you have placed in us to provide
high quality, safe food. We appreciate your support of the Girl Scouts in your community.
