INVITATION TO PROVIDE PROPOSAL Town of Meeker Water Tanks Inspection Project
Proposals will be received at the Town of Meeker, Town Hall, 345 Market Street, Meeker Colorado 81641, until 4:00 p.m., (MDST) Thursday, July 16, 2009 , at which time for water tank inspection services listed in the scope of services. This solicitation for proposals may be canceled by the Town of Meeker, and any bid or proposal may be rejected in whole or in part for good cause when in the best interests of the Town of Meeker. The Town of Meeker reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or accept what is, in its judgment, the best bid. If a contract is awarded, it will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, in accordance with purchasing requirements of the Town of Meeker Personnel Policy and Procedures, and whose bid is deemed by the Town of Meeker to be in the best interests of the project. Qualification for Award: In order to receive an award for the inspection and repainting of water storage tanks, the Contractor must have successfully met the requirements of pre-qualification as described herein. Bids received from bidders who are not pre-qualified will not be opened. A Contractor must possess adequate tenacity, perseverance, experience, integrity, reliability, capacity, facilities, equipment, and credit. The determination of whether a contractor possesses these criteria is at the sole discretion of the Town Administrator. Satisfactory completion of a similar contract for steel water tank inspections, repairs and finishes for a municipality located in the state of Colorado during the past five years shall be accepted as meeting the requirements of Criteria 1 through 3 inclusive. 1. Demonstrated record of successful and timely completion of work awarded during the last five years. 2. Experience shall include repairs to steel water tanks and new finishes applied. 3. Demonstrated ability to bond projects of this extent and nature. 4. Agree to the terms and conditions in the contract agreement attached 5. Contractor must show proof of insurance are required by contract documents The Town Board will select and award the bid to the successful bidder at its July 21, 2009 meeting. A Notice of Award will be issued within 7 calendar days of the Boards decision. Within 7 calendar days thereafter, the Successful Bidder shall sign and deliver the required agreement and documents including performance and payment bonds, to the Town of Meeker. Within 7 calendar days thereafter, the Town of Meeker shall deliver one fully signed counterpart to Successful Bidder, accompanied by a Notice to Proceed.
