Compensation Information Instructions
Field Heading Instructions
Survey Job Title Match Your Organization's Job Title to the appropriate Survey Job Title using the job
descriptions contained in the separate PDF document that accompanied this spreadsheet. As
a general rule if your company's job does at least 70% of what the survey job does, it's a
good match.
Level of Job Match Indicate how the responsibility level of your organization's job compare to that of the survey job.
Choose the appropriate Level of Job Match from the drop down menu.
Number of Employees Provide the number of full-time equivalent employees (FTE's) currently working in each job.
FLSA Status Indicate whether the employees who hold each job are exempt or non-exempt under the terms of
the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Average Weekly Work Provide the average number of hours worked per week for each job. (example: 40)
Hours
Pay Type Indicate whether the employees who hold each job are paid on a salary basis or on an hourly
basis.
Average Hourly Pay For jobs paid on an hourly basis, enter the Average Hourly Pay Amount for employees in each job.
Amount ($)
Annual Base Salary ($) For jobs paid on a salary basis, enter the Average Annual Base Salary for employees in each job.
Average Target Bonus (%) Provide the Average Target Bonus (short-term incentive) for employees in each job as a
percentage of annualized base pay. Enter percent as a whole number e.g., 10% = 10. (If a job
does not have a target bonus, leave this column blank)
Number Receiving Bonus Indicate the total number of employees in each job who actually received a bonus (STI) during
the past 12 months.
