      This course explores the interaction between culture and communication and develops strategies
        for individuals to improve their communication effectiveness in any cross-cultural situation.

   By the end of this course participants will be able to:
      Describe “culture” as a concept and describe how it can impact communication.
      Explain the difficulties people from differing cultural and linguistic backgrounds may experience
        when communicating with each other.
      Develop the basic skills and experience to maximize success in cross-cultural situations.
      Demonstrate the use of problem solving strategies to work through communication difficulties and
        communicate more effectively.
      Continue to study using supplied instructional materials and references.
