 EDITOR’S NOTE
BLIMEY. CHRISTMAS IS UPON US ALREADY AND LIKE YOU, I’M REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THE BREAK.
WE’VE HAD A HECTIC FEW MONTHS AT BIKE TRADER, HAVING RECENTLY DEVELOPED A BESPOKE USED BIKE
SEARCH FACILITY ON HONDA’S WEBSITE, ALLOWING BUYERS TO BROWSE THOUSANDS OF USED HONDAS FOR
SALE. ALSO, DUE TO CUSTOMER DEMAND, WE’VE JUST OPENED A NEW QUAD SECTION ON THE SITE, PROVIDING
THE IDEAL PLACE TO ADVERTISE YOUR FOUR WHEELERS.

We’re also pleased to reveal the latest version of our excellent free Got a story? Send your news and views to

TRIUMPH ROCKET III
Subtle it ain't, but you can't knock Triumph for squeezing a gargantuan 2.3-litre triple into their
latest cruiser. None of its competitors come close in the power stakes, but its 140bhp is only half
the story, because it's torque that counts – and this has it in spades. 147lb/ft at just 2,500rpm,
which is enough to pull down a council tower block. But, according to those who have ridden it, the
Rocket's agility belies its size, both on the move and negotiating tight spaces. At a standstill, its no
oil painting – but neither was Charles Bronson, but they'll both give you a pasting, given the chance.

BIKE TRADER HAS RENEWED ITS MAJOR
SPONSORSHIP OF THUNDERSPRINT 2005
                                                                                 20
WHICH WILL BE HELD IN NORTHWICH,
CHESHIRE ON THE 8TH – 9TH MAY.
Final details are yet to confirmed but Bike Trader will have premium stand
space at the show as well as promotional staff touring the whole site with the
latest issue of Bike Trader magazine.

Thundersprint organiser Frank Melling said, “We are delighted to have
Bike Trader continue its sponsorship of Britain’s biggest biking street party.
Sponsorship from a publication the size and quality of Bike Trader is
recognition of the status of Thundersprint within the biking world and we
look forward to continuing our long term relationship with such a dynamic
and ambitious partner.”

Penny Whitelock, Managing Director of National Magazines, commented,
“We were pleased with our sponsorship of this year’s Thundersprint. The
show is unique in that it reaches the whole spectrum of bike enthusiasts
from classics and customs to modern Superbikes and touring machines.
The attendance was huge, with 75,000 fans packing Northwich town centre,
and this gave us first class exposure to a lot of customers. The relaxed
atmosphere was great and the media coverage of the event excellent.

Bike Trader is the number one publication if you want to sell your bike –
whatever it is – and so naturally we want a high presence, and strong
representation, at the place where our customers will be: that means the
Thundersprint. There is no other event like the Thundersprint anywhere
in the world and we are proud to be key sponsors.”
