As vice president of Corporate Accounts for Worldwide Small and Midmarket Solutions and Partners
(SMS&P), Maxwell Long is responsible for SMS&P’s enterprise sales and marketing strategy. Long and
team work closely with Microsoft’s Enterprise Partner Group and Worldwide Partner Group to broaden
the range of customer and partner engagement options across Microsoft in order to execute an effective
sales operating model and improve the customer and partner sales experience.

Long has more than 20 years of experience in working with technology industry enterprise customers.
During his more than 11 years with Microsoft, Long has held many roles, including leading vertically
focused sales teams, working with Microsoft partners and running worldwide enterprise marketing.
Before joining SMS&P, Long served as Microsoft’s general manager of specialist sales, where he lead a
global sales team focused on new products or acquisitions still early in their lifecycle.

Before joining Microsoft, Long spent 10 years at IBM Corp. where he worked in a variety of sales
functions across several segments and industries. Before that, he worked for the occupational
psychologist firm Saville & Holdsworth Group Ltd., leading a team that sold psychometric and aptitude
tests to large businesses.

Long is originally from the United Kingdom and currently lives in the Seattle area, with his wife and two
children. In his spare time, Long enjoys competing in triathlons, snowboarding and spending time with
his family.
