					                                     Genevieve Fisher
Born in London, Ontario, Genevieve has been performing in front of the exciting audiences since
the age of two. Since that first award winning performance at the Ilderton Fair, she has continued
her climb to national recognition as Canada’s new breed of country … for examples, at the age
of 13 she took top honours for her age group at the 20th annual Canadian Open Country Singing
Competition in Simcoe; at the age of 16 with her band, she had the distinction of opening for
2009’s Canadian Female Country Artist of the Year Crystal Shawanda. Genevieve’s first CD
turned out to be the turning point in her young career in October 2010 at OmniSound Studios in
January 2011 “Keep On” became highly successful with over 25 stations giving the song airplay,
placing Genevieve #60 on the national country charts. “Some Letter That You Wrote Me”
entered the top 100. TRAX Report currently has her positioned at the 13th most played Canadian
female country artist on national radio. This adjusts to a very respectable 24th, where
international singers such as Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Reba McEntire are included.
Nashville writing giant Jeffrey Steele, has included Genevieve with a strong pop country
recording that should be a strong base to build on her blossoming career.
Along with university enrollment, Genevieve keeps busy y “giving back to the community who
supported her”, by continually performing at Chippewa of The Thames First Nation, near
London; at senior retirement homes three times per week’ at charities such as Woman’s Shelter,
Tsunami Disaster Relief, Children’s Hospital, to name a few. Her obvious musical gift combines
with the desire to give back to the community has created the persona of Genevieve Fisher.
