Contracted business development and marketing support services to several small

Several levels of support have been provided to CEO’s (as well as small business

Azura Aesthetics – Sales and Marketing Consultant                          2006-2008
Charleston, South Carolina
Provided sales and marketing support for a newly established plastic surgery group
consisting of several physicians and one private investor. Established internal sales
processes and conducted initial “interviews” whereby leads were converted into
patients/clients. Produced marketing materials and website content to effectively brand
the new group practice while individually highlighting each physician’s unique talents
and skill set. Noteworthy accomplishments included:
      Converted over 60% of sales leads into patients, billing over $1M in sales
       annually and achieving Top 10% in facelift sales in the nation.
      Expanded marketing presence on an international level by establishing a
       successful relationship with an international PR firm based in NYC.

Operated as liaison between the CEO and VP of Marketing for a start-up defense and
logistics company at the Port of Charleston. Provided extensive industry research and
produced regular internal reports and updates for the executive staff. Developed and
managed the production of marketing and communication materials to include
newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, print advertising and two websites. A few
accomplishments of note were:
      Organized and managed several large trade events featuring prominent industry
       dignitaries, such as India’s Minister of Commerce.

Provided comprehensive administrative and investor relations efforts for this venture
capital partnership investing in early stage companies featuring emerging technologies
located in the Front Range of Colorado. Conducted extensive administrative activities
in support of a team of four Managing Partners, in addition to the 58 Limited Partners,
participating in a portfolio consisting of four funds with approximately $150M under
management. Examples of activities are the production and management of quarterly
investment reports, annual reports/audits, the capital call process and ongoing investor
relations events involving the Limited Partners. Accomplishments of note were:
      Organized and managed three successful out of town shareholder meetings and
       retreats with CEO’s of invested companies.
      Successfully planned and executed three elegant black-tie holiday parties in our
       turn of the century building honoring several key investors.
