Are you moved by beautiful natural landscapes? Or do you prefer the city with its wide range of cultural opportunities and exciting nightlife? Or maybe you‘re one of those people who live and breathe sport and exercise? But who said you need to choose? With Switzerland‘s top-quality public transport network, it‘s possible to enjoy the best of both worlds. As a provider of feeder services to all corners of Switzerland, PostBus plays a central role in this network. The enterprise, which began over 100 years ago with just one Postbus line, has since become the biggest provider of regional public transport in Switzerland. It‘s not only the history and tradition of PostBus that are unique. The innovations of this market leader will no doubt continue to break new ground in road-based public transport. PostBus recently became the first transport company to introduce “mobile tagging”. This new system enables commuters to call up current timetables easily and quickly for specific PostBus lines by mobile phone, without needing to access the mobile Internet and type in the names of the stations. Another innovation is the audio travel guide which provides interesting facts and key information on the various sights during the four mountain passes tour. Thanks to its partnership with SwissMobile, the Swiss network for sustainable mobility in leisure and tourism, PostBus has been able to expand its offering with regard to walking and cycling. A trip in a Postbus is the perfect way to round off any of the SwissMobile routes. Take advantage of the simplified procedure for bike transportation on a Postbus: bike tickets, all-day bike cards and general bike passes are now also available for Postbuses. In the cantons of Graubünden, Valais and Berne, Postbuses are already equipped with bike racks and trailers to accommodate your bike. Be inspired by the new and exciting excursion ideas from PostBus. Enjoy, have a safe trip and welcome to the yellow class! PostBus takes you across the most famous Alpine passes in Switzerland via countless spectacular hairpin turns. Along the way, you will be rewarded with unparalleled views of snow-capped peaks, magnificent glaciers, blooming meadows and pretty mountain villages. During this one-day trip, PostBus overcomes no less than 8000 metres of altitude difference, all without changing buses and with plenty of time to admire the breathtaking scenery. At its southern end is the village of San Bernardino from where the road, an engineering marvel in itself, winds through tunnels and across stunning bridges along a narrow valley to Mesocco. Bellinzona welcomes you with southern charm and three fortresses which are registered UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
