DON’T...
leave your horse unattended at any time or tie your horse to a
fence, tree, pavilion, gate, or other equipment.
ever use alcoholic beverages on the trails.
race, gallop, or otherwise ride recklessly; doing so constitutes
grounds for expulsion from the park.
ride in a style that might cause harm to other riders, your
horse, or yourself.
pass group trail rides without permission to do so.
allow your horse to gallop or trot in the parking area where
horse trailers are located.
take your horse into any area not designated for equestrian
use.
permit your horse to engage in aggressive behavior such as
kicking, biting, rearing, etc.; such behavior will result in expul-
sion from the park.
remove manure from your horse’s trailer unless you will be
disposing of properly.

show courtesy and respect to other riders by slowing your
horse and passing at a walk rather than a fast pace.
use positive and humane methods when training your horse;
harsh discipline and treatment will not be tolerated.
wear an approved safety helmet and ride with an adult if you
are 16 years old or younger.
notify a park official if you encounter any emergency
situation.
provide a current proof of your horse’s negative Coggins test
upon request.
make sure your horse has the temperament and training to
ride on busy public trails.
ride at a walk, trot, or canter – galloping is prohibited.
