Message from the Senior Regent for January and February

Dear Co-Workers and Brothers,

I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday.

They say every New Years that old acquaintance should be forgot. I
say don’t forget the old (members) and bring in the new. Now is the
time, more than ever, to sponsor a new member. Remember, every
time you sponsor 2 members and they enroll, your dues for the next
year are free. Spread the word to your neighbors, relatives and
friends about the Moose. Be proud to tell everyone that you belong
to one of the most rewarding organizations and how they can be too.

If you know of anyone who hasn’t come to meetings lately, give them
a call or let our Membership chairperson, Barbara Hapst know. She
will contact them and see why they no longer attend meetings.

I’d like to congratulate Teri Cole and her little helpers for the
most amazing job done chairing the Chinese Auction. The success of
this event exceeded our expectations.

I would also like to thank all the coworkers who have generously
donated their time to make all events, whether WOTM or LOOM
successful.

Coming up on February 12 , is our Valentines Day dance. Please con-
tact Chairperson, Pam Kennedy and ask her how you can help.

Hope to see both the men and woman at the upcoming events.

Fraternally,
Lynda Rago
Senior Regent

National statistics have proven that one in three people will require a
transfusion at some point in their life, yet far too few people donate in

Tony’s Auto Repair our community. The local donor participation rate is less than 2% versus
the nationwide average of 5%. The result is periodic blood shortages in
789 Hempstead Tpk. some communities, such as Long Island. Since there is no substitute for
human blood, we can look only to ourselves to meet this challenge.
