CHoose your paper Using quality HP paper for your Bella flora wedding invitations will enhance the beautiful colors in the photos and art. You can also choose specialty papers to help set the tone of your wedding. Here are a few guidelines ~ • Traditional invitations look great on parchment, felt, laid (a ribbed, textured paper), and cotton papers in ivory, cream, white, or ecru (beige) colors. • For a more contemporary look, use neutral colors but try printing invitations on handmade textured paper. Or, print on vellum and attach to a solid color cotton or laid paper. Color-coordinated envelopes can also add a modern flair. • Environmentally conscious brides can also choose recycled paper. • Visit craft and specialty paper stores to explore the array of different styles. Be sure to test a few samples before buying your paper in bulk. • Look for additional embellishments such as ribbon to wrap around your invitations and thank-you notes, or initialed wax seals or stickers to add to your envelopes. • For the standalone invitation, a good thick paper (80 lb. cover) is recommended. • Because the Bella flora program, CD/DVD envelope sleeve, and thank-you note have a folded design, a medium weight paper (80 lb. text) works best.

set your printer paper settings generally control the amount of ink that is put on the paper. adjust the printer settings to work best with your different papers, and be sure to run test prints before final printing. Here are some print guidelines ~ • Different papers absorb varying amounts of ink. For example, uncoated or cotton papers absorb a lot of ink, while coated papers such as photo or vellum absorb less. • Make sure you’re using the right setting for your paper. Too little ink will diminish the quality, and too much ink can make text and images smear. • Do a sample print on your special paper. For best results, remove all paper from your input tray and insert your specialty paper one sheet at a time. Be sure to push the sheet all the way into the tray and make sure that the paper guides are tight against the edges. • Be sure to give each printed piece plenty of time to dry. Although your prints may seem dry to the touch, moisture remains in the print and needs time to dry completely. Compose your wedding invitations First, determine who will be announcing the wedding: the parents of the bride and groom or just the two of you. For a more formal invitation, you may want to start this way: “Mr. and Mrs. Warren Clark request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their daughter Wendy Anne to …” followed by the full name of the groom: “James William Adams.” You may then choose to name the groom’s parents. When creating a more casual invitation, start with a phrase such as “Please join us in celebrating our marriage.” • Write out the date: “Saturday, the twenty-third of June, two thousand eight.” • List the time of the ceremony: “at two o’clock.” • List the location name and full address. • Create your separate reception card that shows the time, location, and address of the reception. • Include a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your reply card. This is the A2 envelope.

address your wedding invitations Before you sit down to address your invitations, be sure you have a well-organized guest list that’s complete with full names and addresses. One idea is to put each guest’s name on an index card where you can record the address, acceptance or regrets, and special requests or notes. Divide your list or index cards into three categories: 1. Those to receive only a wedding announcement 2. Guests to receive an invitation to the ceremony only 3. Guests who will be invited to both the ceremony and the reception.
It is customary to use two envelopes to mail your invitations.
The Bella flora envelope wraps (located in the HP Activity Center in the Labels & covers section) are a unique way to include your return address information.
• The inner envelope (A9) remains unsealed and holds the invitation. It lists your guests’ names only (no addresses). • The outer envelope (A10) contains your guests’ full names followed by addresses, as well as your return address. Ideally you want to send out your invitations at least six weeks before the wedding day to allow for adequate travel planning.

Say thank you for the gift, how you will use it, and that you greatly appreciate the time and energy it took to contribute to your wedding.
