									       Matthew 5:9

Blessed are the peacemakers, for
they will be called the sons of
                Isaiah 26:2,3
 Open the gates that the righteous nation may
enter, the nation that keeps faith. You will keep
in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast,
  because he trusts in you.
 In times of trouble we must continually strive to
keep our minds turned to the Lord in prayer,
  trust and hope.
 This is difficult because of the demands on our
  time and our imagination.
             Proverbs 3:13-17
 Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the
man who gains understanding, for she is
more profitable than silver and yields
better returns than gold. She is more
precious than rubies; nothing you desire
can compare with her. Long life is in her
right hand; in her left hand are riches and
honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and
    all her paths are peace.
 Sophia-the insight into the true nature of
 Phronesis-the ability to discern modes of
action with a view to their results.
                Isaiah 54:10
 Though the mountains be shaken and the
hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for
you will not be shaken nor my covenant of
peace be removed, says the Lord, who
    has compassion on you.
                 C.S. Lewis
 When I invited Jesus into my life, I
thought he was going to put up some
wallpaper and hang a few pictures. But He
started knocking out walls and adding on
rooms. I said I was expecting a nice
cottage, but he said “I’m making a palace
    in which to live”.
         Giants-Pamela D. Curtis
 Giants looming round about,
 Taunting, spitting fear and doubt
 Challenging God’s ways and words
 With frightful boasts and vicious slurs.
 Take up arms in holy wrath,
 Confront them with a scornful laugh,
 Stand in Christ’s victorious power,
 This is the giant’s final hour.
 Struggle fiercely in the Name,
 Block the blows of guilt and shame.
 Use your sword! Cut through their lies,
 Drown their threats with triumph cries,
 Push back their clouds of doom and blight,
 Overcome in faith-fired light,
 Wielding Christ’s authority,
 Make the giants turn and flee

 Giants looming all around?
 Rise up! Fight!
 Take back the ground.
        Numbers 13:30, 14:8,9
 Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses
and said, “We should go up and take possession
of the land, for we can certainly do it.”
 If the Lord is pleased with us, he will lead us
into that land, a land flowing with milk and
honey, and will give it to us. Only do not rebel
against the Lord. And do not be afraid of the
people of the land, because we will swallow
them up. Their protection is gone, but the Lord
is with us. Do not be afraid of them.
                Malachi 2:5
 My covenant was with him (Levi), a
covenant of life and peace, and I gave
them to him; this called for reverence and
he revered me and stood in awe of my
 To have a healthy fear of the Lord. To
understand who he is and what he is
    capable of doing.
    Create an Atmosphere of Peace
 Too many people are living in a state of
  subdued panic or organized confusion.
 The church often breeds a hyperactive
body of believers who are forever on the
go, yet they have lost their sense of
 We are called to generate a peace in the
  hearts and lives of others.
                 Mike Bickle
 Jesus isn’t coming for a church that’s
gritting her teeth, struggling to stay free
from sin, secretly wishing she could
indulge in a little immorality but abstaining
because of being afraid of getting caught.
No. Jesus is coming for a church
passionately and utterly devoted to Him—
one that is free on the inside.
                II Cor. 13:11
 Finally brothers, good-by. Aim for
perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one
mind, live in peace. And the God of love
and peace will be with you.
