                                     51st Anniversary
           Presidents Ball and Celebrity Golf Classic

Dear Friends,

The Children’s Charities Coalition and the Detroit Red Wings Alumni Association are
teaming up to host an exciting event for Metro Detroit children. The Alumni President’s
Ball will be held at The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham on July 11, 2010 and the Celebrity
Golf Classic will be hosted by Oakhurst Golf and Country Club in Clarkston. These
events will benefit five charities (CARE House, The Community House, Orchards
Children’s Services, Variety the Children’s Charity and the Red Wings Alumni
Association) which provide invaluable services to Michigan’s children.

The evening at the Townsend Hotel on July 11th will include dinner, entertainment, a live
and silent auction and a program honoring our Past President – Dennis Hextall. Please join
us in honoring one of hockey’s finest players, and at the same time contributing to the
worthiest of causes – the welfare of children in our community. In these difficult times, there is
so much we need to do to protect and nurture children; your generous support can truly make
a difference in their young lives.

Registration for the Golf outing on July 12th at Oakhurst will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a
shot-gun start at 12:30 p.m. Each foursome will have an opportunity to play with an Alumni
member. Dinner will be served after golf at Oakhurst Golf and Country Club.
