Taya Sponsored by : Hon. Nestor L. Uy A RESOLUTION CONFERRING THE TITLE “ADOPTED SON OF DAVAO ORIENTAL” TO HONORABLE AQUILINO MARTIN “KOKO” Ll. PIMENTEL III, SENATOR OF THE PHILIPPINES. WHEREAS, in the 2007 National Elections, Davao Oriental became the light of the nation when it delivered an overwhelming vote to SENATOR AQUILINO MARTIN “KOKO” Ll. PIMENTEL III in recognition of his qualifications and being a Mindanaonon whose qualities and potential to become Senator of the Republic of the Philippines can be an advantage to the people of Mindanao; WHEREAS, the voluntary act of SENATOR AQUILINO MARTIN “KOKO” Ll. PIMENTEL III of choosing Davao Oriental as the venue for his Oath-Taking before the Honorable Governor Corazon Nunez-Malanyaon brings great pride to the people of Davao Oriental; WHEREAS, Davao Oriental since its existence has dreamed to have the privilege of a representation in the Halls of Senate, and the election of SENATOR AQUILINO MARTIN “KOKO” Ll. PIMENTEL III, who recognized this Province as his supporter in the 2007 National Elections, is the fulfillment of this nagging desire; WHEREAS, SENATOR AQUILINO MARTIN “KOKO” Ll. PIMENTEL III possesses the traits of leadership: a Bar topnotcher and a young man with virtues to become a reliable leader who can serve the best interest of the people as manifested by his breed, having grown from a family of a Statesman Senator Aquilino Q. Pimentel, Jr., with whom the attributes of integrity, honesty, dedication to public service, God loving, pro-poor, pro-people and pro-country is beyond doubt; Resolution No. 13-91-2011, cont’n.\... Page 2 WHEREAS, the righteous, patience, perseverance, determination, and resiliency that marked SENATOR AQUILINO MARTIN “KOKO” Ll. PIMENTEL III’s campaign for a Senate seat has further earned him the respect and admiration, not just the leaders of the Local Government Units of the province, but above all the people of Davao Oriental; WHEREAS, giving us the highest privilege of administering his oath of office as well as his exemplary personal credentials behooves upon us, to adopt SENATOR AQUILINO MARTIN “KOKO” Ll. PIMENTEL III as beloved son of the Province of Davao Oriental; WHEREFORE, on motion of SP Member Nestor L. Uy, unanimously seconded by all the members present, it was RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, to confer the title “ADOPTED SON OF DAVAO ORIENTAL” to HONORABLE AQUILINO MARTIN “KOKO” Ll. PIMENTEL III, Senator of the Philippines; RESOLVED FINALLY, That copies of this resolution be furnished: His Excellency, Simeon Benigno Aquino III, President of the Philippines; Malacañan Palace; Honorable Jejomar C.
