RESOLUTION 1139
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF NORTH BEND, WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING SUPPLEMENT NO. 11 TO CONTRACT FOR SPECIALIZED LEGAL SERVICES WITH THE LAW OFFICES OF THOMAS M. PORS TO ADDRESS WATER RIGHTS ISSUES
WHEREAS, the City of North Bend City Council authorized the City, under Resolution 841, to contract for specialized legal services with the law offices of Thomas M. Pors on December 4th 2001 to address water rights issues; and WHEREAS, the City of North Bend authorized on June 3, 2003 Supplement No. 1 in the amount of $50,000 under Resolution 942, on December 16, 2003 in the amount of $82,680 under Resolution 979, and on May 17, 2005 in the amount of $75,500 under Resolution 1060, for continuing specialized legal services with the law offices of Thomas M. Pors; and WHEREAS, the City of North Bend continues to process its water rights application with the Washington State Department of Ecology (DOE) and is in the second of three phases with the DOE for such acquisition; and WHEREAS, the funds authorized under Resolutions 841, 942, 979 and 1060 have been expended and further services from the law offices of Thomas M. Pors are needed through July 31, 2008 to address the last two phases of water rights acquisition, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH BEND, WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The authorized fees to the original contract with the law offices of Thomas M. Pors for specialized legal services to address water rights issues is increased by $71,340 to a total of $333,520 under Supplement No. 11.
