Nissan chooses Mondial Assistance as their new roadside assistance

Monday 25 October 2010—Nissan Australia has selected leading assistance company, Mondial
Assistance Australia, to provide a complete roadside assistance solution to their customers which
includes a MyNissan iPhone application.
Tony McGarvey, General Manager for Assistance from Mondial Assistance Australia, said Mondial
Assistance’s core business was providing assistance services to customers through partnerships
with some of the world’s leading brands, and that they were proud to now count Nissan as a partner
in Australia.
“Nissan has a clear vision for the future, and we are excited to be able to partner with Nissan in
helping their customers in times of need with premium nationwide roadside assistance,” Mr
McGarvey said.
“This is a key relationship for Mondial Assistance as it allows us to provide our services to an
industry leader with like-minded values and an unswerving focus on the customer.
“After several years providing our services to Nissan Australia’s alliance partner, Renault, I’m
confident we will enhance the strong relationship Nissan has with its customers, through premium
roadside assistance services.”
Mondial Assistance Australia will provide Nissan Australia with wholesale roadside assistance on
new cars and comprehensive branded retail roadside assistance once the three year new car
roadside assistance program ends.
In addition to roadside assistance, the Nissan-Mondial Assistance partnership will deliver other
benefits for Nissan’s customers, including a network of dual-branded roadside assistance service
vehicles, mobile mechanics and tow trucks.
“This is the first time we’ve dual-branded our service vehicles units and it’s a sign of the importance
of this relationship for both partners,” Mr McGarvey said.
“We have also developed and launched a new MyNissan iPhone app to innovate within our
roadside assistance offer.
“The branded app will allow Nissan owners to trigger an assistance call with the touch of a button
and it will also provide a range of extras for Nissan customers, including a convenient electronic
logbook, vehicle tips and guides, a parking meter reminder and a service reminder. There is also a
trip planner that overlays the locations of petrol stations, car parking and the nearest Nissan service
Brett Wiskar, Director of Speedwell eBusiness Solutions, the development studio behind the app,
said MyNissan is “Australia’s first all-in-one iPhone application for motorists and is backed by a
robust back-end and secure web services, providing Nissan owners with enhanced reliability”.
