					                   2011 RHODE ISLAND VOLLEYBALL CAMP
                      DEVELOPMENT CAMP ITINERARY
                              DINING HALL HOURS:
              BREAKFAST: 7-9am LUNCH: 11:30-1pm DINNER: 4:30 - 6pm
THE DINING HALL WILL BE PREPARED FOR OUR GROUP AT THE FOLLOWING TIMES:
BREAKFAST: 7:30am LUNCH: 11:30pm DINNER: 5:00pm. PLEASE TRY TO GET TO THE DINING
HALL AT THE DESIGNATED TIMES. DO NOT SKIP MEALS. UNLESS NOTED ALL MEALS WILL BE
EATEN IN: MAINFARE DINING HALL (HOPE COMMONS) # 50 ON CAMPUS MAP.

DON'T FORGET TO BRING YOUR MEAL CARD !! You need your meal card at all meals. You
will not be allowed in without it. Please put your meal card back in your neck wallet after they
swipe it at the entrance. Please do not lose your meal card, if you do see the camp manager.

ALSO: It is your responsibility for keeping track of the camp schedule. Campers must be on time ready to
participate for each scheduled session & activity at the designated start time on the schedule. We expect
campers to arrive 10 minutes prior to each session/tournament to change their shoes and be ready to go.
Sessions & Tournaments will start on time. ALL ANNOUNCEMENTS WILL TAKE PLACE IN KEANEY GYM.
Any campers arriving late will be disciplined by their court coach. Please see session description for skills
that will be covered each day so that you can prepare accordingly.
Campers who need to be taped prior to the sessions/tournaments need to arrive 30 minutes prior to the start
of each event. The Athletic Trainer will be set up in Keaney Gym.
COMMUTERS: COMMUTERS SHOULD DEPART FROM THE MACKAL FIELD HOUSE LOBBY AFTER THE
EVENING ACTIVITY, UNLESS OTHER ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE & APPROVED BY THE CAMP
DIRECTOR. ALL COMMUTERS, INCLUDING THOSE DRIVING THEMSELVES TO CAMP, MUST MEET WITH
THE CAMP MANAGER, TO SIGN OUT OR BE SIGNED OUT BY THEIR RIDE, EVERY DAY.

 4:00 - 5:00        COURT ORIENTATION & SESSION 1 - INDIVIDUAL PASSING & SERVING
 5:00               DINNER & FREE TIME
 6:30 - 9:00        SESSION 2 - SPIKING & REVIEW PASSING & SERVING
 9:00 -             ACTIVITY- STAFF MATCH & DEL’S LEMONADE
11:00               LIGHTS OUT

11:30 -             LUNCH & FREE TIME – OPTIONAL BEACH COURT PLAY 12:30-1:30pm.
 2:00 - 4:30pm      SESSION 4 - INDIVIDUAL DEFENSE & BLOCKING
 4:30 - 5:00        SETTER TRAINING & OPTIONAL EXTRA HELP (CAMPERS MEET IN KEANEY)
 5:00               DINNER & FREE TIME
 6:45               ARRIVE & WARM-UP FOR TOURNAMENT
 7:00 - 9:00        TOURNAMENT
 9:00               ACTIVITY – SWIM NIGHT

 2:00 - 4:30pm   SESSION 6 - POSITION SPECIFIC TRAINING
 4:30 - 5:00     SETTER TRAINING & OPTIONAL EXTRA HELP (CAMPERS MEET IN KEANEY)
 5:00            DINNER & FREE TIME
 6:45            ARRIVE & WARM-UP FOR TOURNAMENT
 7:00 - 9:00     TOURNAMENT

11:00 - 11:30    OPTIONAL NCAA RECRUITING PROCESS OVERVIEW (BOB SCHNECK)
11:30 -          LUNCH & FREE TIME
 1:45pm          ARRIVE & WARM-UP FOR TOURNAMENT
 2:00 - 4:00     TOURNAMENT PLAY
 4:00 - 5:15     AWARDS ASSEMBLY
 5:30            CHECK-OUT – WELDIN HALL (FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS BELOW)


CAMPERS WHO ARE CHECKING OUT: PLEASE EMPTY YOUR TRASH BAGS INTO THE
DUMPSTER OUTSIDE OF THE DORMITORY. ANY FURNITURE THAT YOU HAVE MOVED NEEDS
TO BE RETURNED TO ITS ORIGINAL LOCATION. PLEASE GIVE YOUR MEAL CARD TO YOUR
COURT COACH & YOUR EVALUATION FORM TO THE CAMP MANAGER. YOU ARE NOW FREE TO
LEAVE. HAVE A SAFE TRIP HOME. GOOD LUCK IN YOUR SEASON!! ENJOY THE REST OF YOUR

CONTINUING CAMPERS: PLEASE FOLLOW THE ITINERARY BELOW, THEN CONTINUE TO
THE ITINERARY FOR THE APPROPRIATE CAMP & SESSION. CAMPER RULES STILL APPLY.
CAMP MANAGER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR SUPERVISION. FOLLOWING DINNER, CAMPERS
ARE TO STAY IN THE DORMITORY. PLEASE SEE THE CAMP MANAGER IF YOU NEED ANYTHING.

AUGUST 1ST   CAMPERS GOING TO THE AIRPORT WILL EAT BREAKFAST AT THE
AIRPORT AFTER YOU ARE DROPPED OFF.
