Blackwood Comprehensive Geography Department GCSE – Coursework Checklist 1 STARTED DONE FRONT COVER PAGE CONTENTS INTRODUCTION HYPOTHESIS – a statement saying what you intend to research/study. AIM – what you will actually do. What do you intend to find out? Prediction – what will happen? BACKGROUND INFO Maps (at least three) of the area(s) of study Write a description of the locations – what are they like Photographs of the area(s) AA route finder- how you get there (optional) Historical info – how has the area changed over the years (optional) DATA COLLECTION METHOD – what exactly did you do the day/days? (How you intend to measure and record your results) Equipment – diagrams/photo’s of the equipment you used. You must also mention how the equipment works. Present your data in the form of TABLES, GRAPHS, MAPS, TALLY CHARTS, PHOTOGRAPHS and other ways. Explanations – Each set of data needs an explanation of what they show. Any sheets that you used to collect the data (some may need to be re-drawn.) REMEMBER All photographs must be referenced (Plate 1, Plate 2…….) Tables and graphs (Fig 1, Fig 2a, Fig 2b…….) Diagrams and maps (Fig 3, Fig22 etc……) Every diagram, map, graph etc MUST be mentioned somewhere in the project. Don’t just put something in for the sake of it then ignore it!!!!
