Semester grades will be computed as follows:
40% - 1st quarter percentage
40% - 2nd quarter percentage
20% - Semester Exam percentage

The semester exam will consist of two independent parts:
Part I – 32 multiple choice questions – no calculator – 50 minutes
Part II – 28 multiple choice questions – calculator required – 40 minutes
As this is a timed exam, NO additional time will be given on either part. In addition,
students may not begin Part II of the exam until 50 minutes have passed.

The 60 questions will be based upon the seven units studied this semester:
Chapter 1A – 9 questions
Chapter 9 – 9 questions
Chapter 10 – 7 questions
Chapter 1B – 8 questions
Chapter 2 – 10 questions
Families of Graphs – 5 questions
Chapter 3 – 12 questions

Note: Some questions DO crossover between units.

There will be NO new material on the semester exam. Only the sections of each unit
covered during the semester will be on the exam.

Students may write on the exam; however, the Mastery Manager form will become the
official document of your answers. Any writings on the exam will not contribute or
answers to the Mastery Manager form.

Ample room will be given for students to work out problems on the exam. Therefore,
the use of any additional paper will not be permitted.

The attached review is intended to review the mathematics of all topics covered this
semester. Students should not assume that the questions will be “like those on the
review”. Answers to all 100 questions will be distributed on the last day of class before
the semester exam.

In addition to this review packet, students should review all POW‟s from the semester.
Students have the original problems, their answers, and step by step solutions to each
