San Jose Holiday Parade Wins Big!
Receives 9 Regional Awards

At the recent California/Nevada Festivals and Events Association Conference (CalFest), the San Jose Holiday
Parade was once again honored by the regional festival and events industry with nine 1st place awards in mar-
keting and event management.

The awards represent the top honors in the events industry on the West Coast. Top events that were included in
the awards competition were the San Francisco Chinese New Years Parade, the Temecula Balloon Festival, the
Strawberry Festival and the Gilroy Garlic Festival.

Wells Fargo Battle of the Bands

D    ozens of bands from Bay Area schools participated
     in the 2007 Wells Fargo Battle of the Bands
competition, where they showcased their talents and
holiday spirit as they marched through the streets of
Downtown San José. Evergreen High School impressed
the judges and captured the sweepstakes title, while
Leigh High School brought home first place for the
Division I category, and Madera South High School took
home the Division II Wells Fargo Battle of the Bands title.
In the Middle School/ Junior High Division, Dartmouth
Middle School came out on top. Congratulations to all
the winners and special thanks to all of the Wells Fargo
