Four-year colleges and universities serve a specific purpose – the
issuing of college degrees, from associate through doctorate.

Your community college has a broader mission – to serve as a
community resource, helping individuals, businesses and community
organizations meet their challenges. When the people in Mohave
County have a need, we hope Mohave Community College will be
the first place they turn for solutions.

This booklet briefly describes the comprehensive ways in
which your community college can help you meet your
                                   challenges and achieve your goals.

the first two years of a bachelor’s degree, plus a wealth of
lifelong learning opportunities for personal enrichment.

For businesses, the challenge is improving profits and productivity.

   MCC‘s Growth & Future
Mohave County continues to be one of the fastest growing
areas in the country. That and changes in the economy,
have contributed to Mohave Community College’s
                              steady growth in enrollment.

Over the last six years, the college has added more than a
dozen career/technical programs to the curriculum, to
prepare students – usually in two years or less – for
         employment in high-demand, high-paying careers.

Enrollment continues to grow in classes that transfer toward
bachelor’s degree programs at a variety of universities.
MCC currently has partnership (articulation) agreements
with 17 institutions that accept MCC’s associate of arts,
business and science degree as the first two years of a bach-
elor’s degree. Students who complete an associate’s degree
at MCC will save more than $12,000 in tuition
alone compared with those who start their
                           bachelor’s degree at the university.

MCC continues to partner with agencies in the county to
serve the education needs of the residents. The college has
  established Intergovernmental Agreements with numerous
fire department academies, and school districts to grant
college credit for coursework completed at their facilities.
MCC has been awarded numerous grants and has been
named a partner in grants awarded to other agencies to
                           provide workforce development.

MCC will continue to seek community input to determine
how the college can best serve the needs of the people
in Mohave County and its neighboring communities.

MCC is committed to being a learning centered college,
serving all constituencies, inspiring excellence through
        innovative learning methodologies and empowering
                                          students to succeed.
