Dear Principal/Administrator: Please find attached an application for the Ayers Endowment grant with supporting information. Ayers grants are offered through the Enrichment Fund for the Guilford County Schools. Ayers monies are available to any employee of the Guilford County School System. The grants are intended to promote the improvement and enrichment of education through community service by students, under the leadership of Guilford County Schools employees. Please encourage your staff to apply for Ayers Endowment grants. Previous grants have ranged from $100 to $1000. We suggest that you present information on the Ayers Endowment during a staff meeting. We further suggest that applications and instructions be made accessible to all employees via email. Any measures you can take to make all employees aware of their eligibility for the grants would be appreciated. All applications for the Ayers Endowment grant must be received by February 9. Please send completed applications via courier to Cecilia Adams in the District Relations office on Eugene Street. Applicants will be notified as to the status of their application by the first week in April. Those receiving grants will be required to present receipts and a program evaluation.
