Part II: Closing Gaps
in Terms of Percentage School-Groups of AYP • The gaps have been greatly reduced in high schools. • The gaps have been reduced in elementary and middle schools except SWD group.

Part III: Comparison among NC Five Largest LEAs:
Cumberland, Forsyth, Guilford, Mecklenburg, & Wake • Our high schools reached the first position in 2006. • The difference in percentage of schools AYP decreased between Guilford and the highest performing LEA from 2005 to 2006. • The difference in percentage of schools AYP increased between Guilford and the lowest performing LEA from 2005 to 2006.
