Job description Business Analytics and Optimisation (BAO) brings together comprehensive services and leading edge industry solutions to enable organisations to make and act upon critical decisions. BAO will help clients realise their strategy through information management, advanced analytics and process management, while leveraging the power of smarter technology. Enterprise Information Management is one of the five BAO competencies. The objective of Enterprise Information Management is to improve business processes, decision making and total business performance through achieving data integration between disparate systems. As part of information management, master data management can help increase data consistency throughout the enterprise to create new business value and strategic advantage. In addition, the client will benefit from a complete, sophisticated view of the customer, which will improve customer satisfaction and place the company ahead of the competition. Enterprise Information Management will apply the methods, techniques and technologies that address data architecture, extraction, transformation, movement,
storage, integration and governance of enterprise information and master data. The key offerings of Enterprise Information Management, include: a) Data Integration b) Data Quality c) Data Architecture d) Master Data Management The Enterprise Information Management Business Development Executive role is a high profile strategic position within BAO. You will contribute to sales through the establishment of important C-Suite client relationships and through the delivery of strategic, highly visible client engagements. You will be responsible for: Solutioning 1) Defining the Enterprise Information Management value proposition and offerings. 2) Mastering and being globally recognised as a leading edge player in the Enterprise Information Management industry and associated solutions and strategies. 3) Recognising very complex problems relating to clients’ business models and the business plans they are trying to achieve. Analysing the situation and defining new and innovative approaches or procedures. 4) Bringing strategic, long-range focus to solving client problems. 5) Building lasting strategic relationships with influencers and partner companies that grow IBM’s presence in the new market sets. 6) Scoping solutions. 7) Designing solution architecture. Sales 1) Designing and selling client solutions, supporting all stages of the sales cycle. 2) Meeting sales targets by leading and supporting sector and service line opportunities and account teams. 3) Qualifying opportunities. 4) Maintaining mastery of competition’s offerings, strategies and plans. Effectively differentiate IBM offerings from competitive alternatives. 5) Planning and conducting very complex and strategic negotiations. 6) Communicating proposals to customers effectively and in a compelling manner. 7) Marketing competency area to internal IBM teams. 8) Signing-off on all opportunities in the competency area.
Delivery Capability 1) Building and managing the resourcing model for the competency area in consultation with resource management. 2) Managing the skills and competencies. 3) Developing global delivery capabilities. 4) Participating in recruitment cycle. 5) Participating and encouraging knowledge harvesting. People Leadership 1) Mentoring and people management. 2) Developing skills and capabilities across BAO. 3) Facilitating practitioner training. • Recognised as a leader by other professionals. • Sound skills and a minimum of 10 years experience in solutioning, sales, delivery capability and people leadership. • Detailed understanding of Enterprise Information Management, including: Data Integration, Data Quality, Data Architecture, Master Data Management. • Proven experience in working in a consulting team environment and the ability to work autonomously within established methodologies and standards.
